The purpose of Alpha Chi Omega is to encourage the spirit of true sisterhood, to develop through personal effort a high moral and mental standard and to advance the appreciation and practice of the fine arts among its members. We support survivors of domestic violence by holding our annual Rawk-Sit, and doing community service projects for our other philanthropies: The Clara Hpuse, Easter Seals, McDowell Colony and the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation.

Alpha Delta Pi is a national sorority that was founded in Macon, Georgia, on May 15, 1851. It is a diverse group of women with one common goal to continue a strong and special shared sisterhood. The sorority is involved in special projects both on campus and in the community, such as raising money for and visiting the Ronald McDonald House. The social aspect of the sorority includes campus mixers, date parties, semi-formals, formals, and weekly sisterhood activities as another benefit of membership. Being an Alpha Delta Pi teaches leadership, communication, good scholarship, and, above all, sisterhood.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., founded on January 15, 1908, at Howard University, is the worlds oldest college-based sorority founded by black women. It is an international organization with chapters at leading colleges and universities throughout the United States and abroad. The purpose of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority is to encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women, to study and alleviate problems affecting girls and women, to maintain a progressive interest in college life, and to be of service to all mankind.

Alpha Kappa Psi is recognized as the premier developer of principled business leaders. It is the oldest and largest co-ed professional business fraternity and has nearly 240,000 members world-wide with more than 300 campuses charted in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Currently headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, Alpha Kappa Psi was founded on October 5, 1904 on the campus of New York University. The Psi Sigma Chapter was founded on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro on February 20, 2010. Our co-ed fraternity is open to ALL MAJORS, and we adhere to the lifetime values of brotherhood, knowledge, integrity, service, and unity. Our recruitment, or RUSH periods are at the beginning of each semester.

Founded in 1924, Alpha Lambda Delta is an honor society for students in their first year at an institution of higher education. (For a brief history of the Society, click here) We recognize those students who have succeeded in maintaining a 3.5 or higher GPA, and are in the top 20% of their class, in their first year. Alpha Lambda Delta focuses on academic scholarship, leadership, and community service. Awarding over $207,000 in scholarship money to its members each year, ALD strives to support and encourage its members to be the best they can be on their campuses, in their careers, and across the globe.

Since its founding on December 4, 1906, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. has supplied voice and vision to the struggle of African-Americans and people of color around the world. Alpha Phi Alpha, the first intercollegiate Greek-letter fraternity established for African-Americans, was founded at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York by seven college men who recognized the need for a strong bond of Brotherhood among African descendants in this country.

Alpha Phi Omega is UNCGs only national co-ed service fraternity and is open to all UNCG students. It was founded on campus in 1969 on the principles of leadership, friendship, and service. APO members do service projects throughout the year that include the Winter Walk for AIDS, Pathways Urban Ministries, YMCA After school Program, and several projects designed to help the Greensboro community. Alpha Phi Omega also has fellowship events for members.

Alpha Psi Omega is the academic fraternity dedicated to success and growth of the theater arts at the University of North Carolina Greensboro. It was founded at a national level in 1925 at Fairmont State College from a group called The Masquers who were tasked with presenting 4-5 performances a year. The national society has now grown nationally to include over 600 chapters. Additionally, it is the largest national honors society in America.Here at UNCG, we are dedicated to the success and development of the School of Theatre. We strive to create a close-knit community within the SoT, encourage engagement with UNCG and community theater arts, and offer opportunities for students to create, direct and perform in their own works in front of their peers and faculty.

The Arabic Student Organization (ASO) at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) is a student-led organization that promotes the study and understanding of the Arabic language, culture, and history. Barkada, originally known as the Filipino-American Student Association (FASA), was established in the Fall of 2013 to create a united presence in Greensboro and around the Triad. Services include: crisis response, advocacy, counseling, and coordination with on and off-campus services.The CVRC is dedicated to serving all UNCG community members regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, ability, religion/spirituality, cultural identity, immigrant or refugee status, gender identity, and sexual orientation. We advocate for the just treatment of survivors by providing a non-judgmental and culturally sensitive response.The CVRC is located on the second floor of the Gove Student Health Center building.

The mission of Career & Professional Development is to provide professional guidance and resources to undergraduate and graduate students as well as recent graduates. Carmichael Studios (CMS) is a student-run production company at UNCG where students of all majors and experience levels can explore filmmaking, television, podcasting, acting, writing, marketing, design, social media, and behind-the-scenes production. Chi Omega was founded on April 5, 1895, at The University of Arkansas. The Zeta Kappa Chapter at UNCG was founded on January 10, 1981. The largest womens society in the nation with 182 chapters, Chi Omega emphasizes friendship, scholarship, campus involvement, and social and civic service. The Zeta Kappa chapter at UNCG raises money for its national philanthropy, the Make-a-Wish-Foundation, and its chapter philanthropy, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, through annual fundraisers like Kick for a Wish, Charity Denim, and Concert for a Cure. Social activities include sisterhoods, socials, date parties, Family Day, a holiday semi-formal, and the Eleusinian Formal in the Spring.

The purposes of the Chi Sigma Alpha shall be to promote and recognize excellence in academics, research, and service to the profession of student affairs.

Chi Sigma Iota is an international honor society that values academic and professional excellence in counseling. Upsilon Nu Chi Chapter is the local UNCG chapter of Chi Sigma Iota. We promote a strong professional identity through members (professional counselors, counselor educators, and students) who contribute to the realization of a healthy society by fostering wellness and human dignity.

Chi Upsilon Sigma National Latin Sorority, Inc. has been in existence since April 29, 1980. Established on the New Brunswick Campus of Rutgers University, in the state of New Jersey. CUS was officially voted into the Greek council on March 11, 1981. Our founders are 7 Latinas who had the desire to create an organization to promote leadership amongst the Latino community. More importantly, it was their desire to create a sisterhood, a place away from home in which the members could feel the strong sense of family, which is such a force in the Latino culture. The women of Chi Upsilon Sigma consider this sisterhood to be a lifelong commitment, not only to the organization, but also to each other. Ours is a flame that burns eternal and a bond that joins us to one another forever. The enduring legacy that began over 42 years ago, still exists today.

Circle K is a service organization focused mainly on students developing leadership skills through service and education. It is the collegiate chapter of Kiwanis International.

Our mission is to provide real, righteous, and relevant spiritual life opportunities for UNCG students aligned with Christ-centered fellowship. “Philosophia kai hetaireia” is the Greek motto of the UNCG Classical Society. Philosophia, coming from the stems philos, or "love," and sophia, "wisdom," is a word that means a "love of knowledge."Hetaireia comes from the word hetairos, meaning "comrade" or "disciple," and best translates to something like "brotherhood". To that end, the mission of the Classical Society can be described as “the promotion of knowledge and appreciation of the Greco-Roman world and the creation of strong bonds of camaraderie between its members”. The Classical Society hosts several recreational and outreach events each year in the name of promoting Classics within the Greensboro and North Carolina communities and also hosts weekly meetings throughout the academic year, open to members of the UNC Greensboro community. The UNCG Equestrian is an intercollegiate equitation team that competes through IHSA (International Horse Show Association) in Zone 4, region 5 with 9 other colleges. Our team rides at Townley Equestrian Center which is located in Randleman, just outside of Greensboro. The show team competes at 8-10 shows throughout the academic year with also the potential to qualify for Regionals, Zones and Nationals! We are open to ALL students regardless of past riding experience, even if you don't have any! We welcome members throughout the school year to join the team. HOWEVER, registration for showing must be completed at the beginning of each semester. Showing is optional and not a requirement to join the team. Club Fencing is for anyone interested in learning how to fence. We accept everyone regardless of skill level and teach everyone to the best of our ability. Any necessary equipment is also provided to members by the club. We fence with all three blades; sabre, foil, and epee. We work with students from a variety of different experience levels and through peer-led exercises, we help improve upon players' skills in all aspects of the game including agility, communication, and more. The Environment & Sustainability Program is an interdisciplinary program that fosters understanding of the relationships between human societies and the natural, physical, and biological settings in which life on Earth exists. The B.A. in Environment & Sustainability and M.S. in Sustainability & Environment integrate perspectives of the natural sciences, social sciences, and arts and humanities. Students work with a diverse group of faculty from across campus to learn how to gather and integrate information about environmental problems from multiple disciplines, to think critically about the causes of environmental problems, to propose effective solutions and evaluate their strengths and weaknesses, and to communicate their ideas clearly. Graduates will be well prepared for roles as educated citizens who are especially well informed about the environment and for diverse careers that require a broad range of knowledge about environmental issues. Our students come from a variety of backgrounds and are eligible for internships and study abroad. Human Rights Research Network (HRRN) is committed to fostering an interdisciplinary scholarly community for faculty, as well as graduate and undergraduate students, who do human rights-based research, writing, and/or teaching. With the support of various academic departments and residential colleges, HRRN organizes UNCG’s International Human Rights Film Series each year. The free series is open to the entire UNCG and broader Greensboro community, features discussions immediately following each film. HRRN also partners with other departments and organizations on campus to highlight human rights-related speakers, films, and events and to encourage the development of human rights-based courses.

The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) Campus Center housed within the Department of Interior Architecture is an affiliate of the Carolinas IIDA Chapter, a professional organization of commercial interior designers. The UNCG-McNair Scholars Program (UNCG-McNair) is a federal TRiO program funded by the U.S. Department of Education. Designed to prepare undergraduate students for the pursuit of a Ph.D., UNCG-McNair provides 25 UNCG undergraduate students with opportunities to complete research with faculty mentors, attend the UNCG-McNair Summer Research Institute, explore graduate school options, and prepare for graduate-level studies. Ultimately, the goal of UNCG-McNair – and all Ronald E. McNair Post-baccalaureate Achievement Programs – is to diversify faculty demographics across the nation by providing experience and training to students typically under-represented in the academy.

Our club's primary mission sets us apart as we aim to diversify the healthcare industry by providing tailored guidance, connections, support, and exposure to minority women undergraduate students. This commitment is underscored by compelling statistics: According to CNN (2023), only about 5.7% of physicians in the United States identify as Black or African American, despite comprising 12% of the US population. This disparity is mirrored in the representation of minority women in roles like physician assistants, physical therapists, doctors, etc. Additionally, research from the American Bar Association reveals that Black individuals often do not receive healthcare of equal quality compared to their white counterparts, highlighting the importance of having providers who share their background. Our goal is to address these discrepancies by introducing minority women students to healthcare careers, encouraging their involvement in volunteering, creating meaningful connections, helping them build strong portfolios, and guiding them toward fulfilling their future aspirations.

UNCG Mock Trial is a student-run undergraduate organization that specializes in trial advocacy, public speaking, critical thinking, and theatrical performances. Using a fact pattern provided at the beginning of the academic year, UNCG travels to compete against various colleges and universities. We will also host on-campus Mock Trials. Our program offers students the opportunity to improve their public speaking skills, as well as gather an understanding of trial procedures and complex legal matters, including criminal and civil law and the rules of evidence. Above all, for members of the organization, UNCG Mock Trial provides a close-knit family.

The UNCG Office of Research Integrity (ORI) offers an multi-part educational curriculum in the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) to meet the regulatory requirements of both the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation. Additionally, this program meets the institutional goal of developing a university-wide approach to meeting the ethical standards that it was founded upon. Online training alone is not acceptable to meet NIH required criteria. Some departments and graduate groups also have their own courses and these below options can be incorporated into the curriculum of those classes.

Palestinian Heritage and Cultural Organization (PHCO) is a student-led organization that is dedicated to sharing Palestinian culture, history, and identity. PHCO creates an inclusive space for students to engage with Palestinian traditions through art, music, dance, food, language, and storytelling. The organization aims to educate the campus community about the richness and diversity of Palestinian heritage while encouraging cultural pride, connection, and dialogue. Through cultural events, guest speakers, and community-building activities, PHCO promotes understanding, appreciation, and respect for Palestinian culture among students of all backgrounds.

To create as a space for students and other community members to gather and take classroom teachings of peace and conflict studies and apply them in facilitated group dialogue for the purpose of continuing to expand the field and enhance our critical awareness To act as a liaison group between the home department and program students for the purpose of establishing and cultivating relationships between students and faculty. To assist in Peace and Conflict Studies departmental development in any capacity. To educate the community of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro about the nature and culture of conflict management, resolution and transformation skills and values. To eventually participate in local efforts that include partnering for activities and programs of non-profits and community-based organizations that reflect the skills and tools of peace and conflict studies, in order to encourage Alliance affiliates to engage and volunteer.

Peer success leaders is an organization that serves a dual purpose, the upperclassmen mentor the underclassmen and help them navigate all of UNCG's resources while our faculty advisor will find ways to develop the upperclassman's leadership skills. We will pair one pre-licensure BSN upperclassman with 2-3 direct admit nursing students. This will provide a place for the underclassmen to ask questions, get feedback and form a relationship with someone who can help guide them through both college and prepare them for post-grad.

Phi Alpha Delta (PAD) is a co-ed professional pre-law fraternity* dedicated to building future leaders in the legal field. Founded in 1902, PAD prides itself on being open to all students interested in a career in law. Through speaker events, law school tours, scholarship opportunities, internship opportunities, and national professional development conferences, PAD’s pre-law chapter aims to expose students to valuable experience that will propel them into their law careers. PAD’s alumni of attorneys, judges, and government officials allow members access to an impressive network to aid their growth in the legal field. Today, PAD is one of the world's largest law fraternities, with 206 law school chapters, 99 alum chapters, and 316 pre-law chapters. *Note: Phi Alpha Delta is NOT associated with Greek life and is more closely related to an honors society., However, hazing is still PROHIBITED and condemned by Phi Alpha Delta , its chapters, and UNCG.

Three distinguished black students at Howard University saw the need for a different kind of fraternity on their campus in 1913. With nine others, A. Langston Taylor, Charles I. Brown, and Leonard F. Morse founded Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. on January 9, 1914. As of this day, two of the elements that make this fraternity different from many others are its emphasis on the inclusion rather than the exclusion of all types of men for membership, and its emphasis on maintaining ones individuality within a strong fraternal structure. The Rho Beta chapter serves through brotherhood, scholarship, and service for the general welfare of all humanity.

Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia (also known as Phi Mu Alpha, or simply Sinfonia, or in an archaic usage as the Sinfonia) is an American collegiate social fraternity for men who wish to devote themselves to the advancement of music in America and who wish to associate with others who share that interest. More than 150,000 men have been initiated into Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia since its founding in 1898, and the fraternity currently has over 5,000 active collegiate members in 231 collegiate chapters throughout the United States. Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia operates independently from any of the major governing councils for collegiate fraternities in the United States such as the North-American Interfraternity Conference, though it is a member of other interfraternal organizations such as the Association of Fraternity Advisors, the Fraternity Communications Association, and the National Interfraternity Music Council. Since 1970, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia has been headquartered at Lyrecrest, an estate on the northern outskirts of Evansville, Indiana.

The Philosophy Club is a small active group dedicated to providing an informal forum for UNCG students to discuss important intellectual problems. Knowledge for its own sake, hard won through wrestling with concepts and definitions and arguments, both valid and fallacious, is the primary goal. The Great Conversation Discussion Series meets six times throughout the academic year. Each session features an eminent speaker who delivers a background talk on a specific philosophical problem. Then facilitates an engaging roundtable discussion. Certificates of merit for demonstration of initiative and achievement in philosophical discussion are awarded to students who actively participate in the year long series.

The University of North Carolina at Greensboro's chapter of Prepping Advancement to Careers in Healthcare (PATCH) was founded in 2015 and is the university’s first and largest pre-health organization. From pre-medical to public health, UNCG PATCH welcomes all who have an interest in health and medicine. Our mission is to further the medical education and knowledge of not only our members, but also members of our communities on campus and in Greensboro.

Established in 1989, Prime Movers is a student led organization dedicated to hosting community events for all students with a focus on the School of Dance. Our most anticipated event of the year is our Prime Movers Concert, a student produced and ran dance concert. Each fall, 10-12 student choreographed pieces are chosen to perform in the Coleman Theater with professional lighting, costumes, music, and more. Throughout the year, Prime Movers hosts other events like a lip sync battle, clothing swap, and an evening with the professors. This year we hope to add a couple more events to reach further into our student community. We hope to see you at some our events this coming year and cannot wait to see you there!

Print Club invites artists and non-artists of all skill levels to learn and create print media. Monthly workshops are held, allowing UNCG students to participate in various forms of printmaking. We strive for inclusion for newer printmakers, while also hosting a more intensive collaborative project for those with more experience.

The Science Fiction Fantasy Federation is open to UNCG students and members of the surrounding community who are interested in TTRPGs such as D&D, trading card games, board games, science fiction, fantasy, anime and other related topics. At weekly meetings the club holds a number of activities for its members like gaming events, discussions of topics related to science fiction and fantasy, and movies. SNATS at UNCG is a group of undergraduate and graduate students at UNCG interested in the teaching of singing. We provide learning events to help students grow in their knowledge of performing and teaching.

SGA infuses participation in University governance, community, and addresses student concerns. It relies on the input of active students who exercise their right to participate in the functions and meetings of SGA. Student government holds weekly Senate meetings on Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m.; additionally, the meetings are livestreamed. All are welcome to attend, and students may speak during a designated session. The National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers, or NOBCChE (pronounced No-be-shay), is a nonprofit, professional organization. NOBCChE's goal is to increase the number of minorities in the science, technology, and engineering fields. The organization accomplishes this by creating bonds with professionals working at science-related companies and faculty at local school districts to get more minorities to pursue a career in science and engineering fields. NOBCChE focuses on establishing diversity programs for young kids' professional development and spreading science and engineering knowledge. NOBCChE chapters can be found nationwide.

Because of the negative stereotyping associated with disability, students with disabilities have been reluctant to identify themselves publicly, the UNCG Ability Ambassadors Association (UNCG AAA) presents an opportunity to change that perception by recognizing college and university students with disabilities for their academic accomplishments. The Chariots are UNCG's premier Co-Ed a cappella group. Completely student-led and student-driven, the Chariots strive to provide an inclusive and inviting environment to promote leadership opportunities and teamsmanship, all while creating beautiful music! We study sight-reading, arranging, and general singing technique to widen students' musical knowledge and abilities, regardless of their major or previous experience. We perform all over the East Coast, and we invite the general public and students on campus to attend any of our gigs. Welcome to UNCG's Undergraduate Creative Writing Club! The purpose of the Creative Writing Club is to provide an open working environment to teach and foster various figurative and literary components through writing exercises, group conversation, and fulfilling writing events. By establishing an inclusive learning environment, Creative Writing Club places importance on growth and focuses on each member’s individual interests in storytelling, encouraging members to explore publications to support their interests. Additionally, Creative Writing Club serves to provide the necessary ground and basis for members to think critically and dynamically about the key factors within narratives, with the club exploring various drafts of these narratives from creation to publishing upon member submission for group Workshop.

The Undergraduate Research, Scholarship and Creativity Office (URSCO) at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) is dedicated to promoting and supporting student success through mentored undergraduate research, creative inquiry and other scholarly experiences for the UNCG community. The URSCO is also dedicated to helping faculty become increasingly effective with mentoring undergraduate research and integrating research skills into courses and curricula.

The purpose of this organization shall be to aid in increasing the number of minority students entering dental schools, increasing the knowledge of dentistry in undergraduate students, and in improving DAT scores of pre-dental undergraduates. Additionally, the USNDA will provide students with the opportunity to visit dental schools and to shadow dentists, as well as to inform students of summer programs and dental research experiences.One of the major objectives for establishing the Undergraduate Student National Dental Association (USNDA) is to increase the interaction amongst undergraduate and dental students. To facilitate our goal, Student National Dental Association (SNDA) chapters at dental schools will plan one day in the Fall and/or Spring semesters for all undergraduate affiliates to participate in the Impressions Program. This program will provide courses and lectures that will introduce undergraduates to the demands of the profession. The program will also offer suggestions for gaining acceptance and succeeding in dental school. Various portions of the Impressions Program include Dental Admissions Test (DAT) preparation, dental school mock interviews, guest speakers, tours, information about summer programs, and an opportunity for students to perform some hands-on dentistry of their own. USNDA members that receive interviews to attend dental school will also be given a SNDA contact at the school they are interviewing. The SNDA member will assist in finding a place to stay and in giving insight about the school’s interview process. Records will also be kept of those members accepted into various dental schools. USNDA members have an opportunity to present research at the National Dental Association (NDA) National Conference. Conference attendance provides USNDA members an opportunity to meet practicing dentists, faculty from dental schools, dental students, and other USNDA members from across the country. In addition to the NDA National Conference, USNDA members will be provided with information regarding other pre-dental events, scholarships, and an overall support system from members of the SNDA family

Founded in 1893, the University Marshals are the 100 top students at UNCG, selected based on their academic achievement, recognition, accomplishments, and leadership potential. The University Marshals are called upon to represent UNCG for its most formal ceremonies, including Nav1Gate, the Doctoral Hooding ceremony, and University Commencement. Specific qualifications for membership include a cumulative GPA of 3.65, inclusion on the Chancellor's List, completion of at least 30 semester hours (or one semester at UNCG for transfer students), current enrollment of at least 12 semester hours, and a demonstration of service and engagement with the campus community. Eligible students will receive an email at the beginning of the semester of their induction inviting them to apply for membership. Inductions are held each Spring semester. The UNCG sewing club is a place for anyone, no matter their skill set, to gather with a group who share a similar interest in and hobby of sewing. Within club meetings, creative ideas can be shared and projects can be worked on together. Many fun activities, such as doing mini embroidery kits together, will also be planned. A big part of this group that I would like to include is volunteer work and giving back to the community. For example, Hospice of Davidson County gives a bone-shaped pillow to all their patients and are always looking for more pillow donations. I plan on hosting "pillow-making sessions" where we can craft pillows together, or members can make pillows on their own time, and we can donate these pillows as a group. More examples of volunteer work include clothing drives and donating items we make to various organizations. WYC at UNCG is a safe space for women to be inspired, uplifted, and loved by other strong women at UNCG. We have meetings several times throughout the month, with two of them being e-board meetings, and there must be at least one social and discussion meeting. Our social meetings are meant to be fun and allow members to get to know each other while also evolving into the beautiful woman they are. While our discussion meetings are more structured for a group conversation or informational meetings on a specific topic that will benefit the self-development of a member or educate them on social topics

The Young People's Alliance is a nonpartisan movement of students across the US, fighting for youth voices in politics. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was founded on January 16, 1920 at Howard University in Washington D.C., by five women that are referred to by the sorority as their five pearls. The sorority's founding principles are: Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood and Finer Womanhood. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc are the first and only constitutionally bound brother sister Greek letter organizations. The Omega Nu chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc was chartered on March 15, 1989 onto the campus of UNCG and has been serving the Greensboro area since it's inception.
