The Spartan Guide Program within the Office of Undergraduate Admissions is one of the most vital roles an undergraduate student can play at UNCG. Spartan Guides take guests on tours of the campus Monday-Friday, some Saturdays, and within special recruiting events across the state and on campus. To the thousands of student and family visitors we have each year, Spartan Guides are the face of the University. As such the expectations are higher than other student positions. But so is the fun, opportunities, and benefits.A Great Spartan Guide: Is fun and outgoing Is naturally positive and smiles- brings an upbeat energy when walking into a room Excels in front of groups of people and makes a great first impression Is involved across campus in at least one other capacity (Greek Life, Major-based student organization, another University office, Honors College, Student Athlete, a club etc...) Is a natural leader amongst peers - draws people to them Is responsible, reliable, dependable, accountable, and flexible- or possesses the willingness to excel in these areas. Wants to be good and become a better professional- we'll help you get ready for when you leave the University.The time commitment is flexible, but weekly. You will let supervisors know your availability for each semester. Then you can add additional responsibilities as they become available and fit your schedule.
