Medicine Matters

Medicine Matters is a student-led organization open to all pre-health students and those exploring healthcare careers. While some clubs focus primarily on professional development, our mission is to develop both skill and character by combining hands-on workshops, leadership opportunities, and direct service to the community. We believe that preparing future healthcare leaders means not only learning about medicine but also practicing compassion, resilience, and teamwork in real-world settings.Unlike PATCH, which emphasizes shadowing and professional networking, Medicine Matters places equal importance on serving underserved populations, supporting healthcare workers, and fundraising for local health needs. Our projects are designed to create lasting community impact while giving students experiences that shape them into well-rounded, service-driven professionals. In this way, Medicine Matters complements existing pre-health clubs by offering a distinct focus on community, character, and sustainable healthcare support.
