Chi Omega was founded on April 5, 1895, at The University of Arkansas. The Zeta Kappa Chapter at UNCG was founded on January 10, 1981. The largest womens society in the nation with 182 chapters, Chi Omega emphasizes friendship, scholarship, campus involvement, and social and civic service. The Zeta Kappa chapter at UNCG raises money for its national philanthropy, the Make-a-Wish-Foundation, and its chapter philanthropy, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, through annual fundraisers like Kick for a Wish, Charity Denim, and Concert for a Cure. Social activities include sisterhoods, socials, date parties, Family Day, a holiday semi-formal, and the Eleusinian Formal in the Spring.
