Multicultural Greek Council

The purpose of the Multicultural Greek Council at University at North Carolina at Greensboro shall be to provide a council for non-traditional Greek Organizations that contributes specifically to diversity on UNCG’s campus. This council shall serve as a board for various organizations whose ideas and beliefs cannot successfully be expressed and or fulfilled by the existing College Panhellenic Council, National Panhellenic Council, or Interfraternity Council. The MGC shall:Create and maintain high standards in the life of Fraternities and Sororities by addressing, coordinating, and developing strategic action plans to unify organizationsEnhance scholarshipProvide community serviceTo uplift new organizations by sharing knowledge and information about organizational operations and functionsEncourage leadershipRepresent the MGC organizations as a unified group to the university student body, and administration.To address concerns, group grievances, and ideas in a collective voice to the Office of Student Life and other university, community sectorsEncouraging cooperation and developing a support network among the member organizations by creating an open environment for the sharing of information.
