The Student Advocacy Project
From the UNCG directory, Sep 7, 2026
The Student Advocacy Project is a student-led organization dedicated to helping students understand university policies, navigate administrative processes, and advocate for themselves when decisions affect their education. Leadership and specialized advocacy roles are held by students with demonstrated experience in university policy, procedure, and student advocacy. SAP supports students with matters such as appeals, petitions, grievances, complaints, and modification requests while promoting procedural fairness, accountability, and informed student participation. SAP also provides student-led training in self-advocacy, policy navigation, procedural knowledge, research, and communication, helping students develop skills they can carry throughout their academic and professional careers.** SAP does not provide legal advice or legal services and is not a substitute for an attorney or other qualified legal professional. **
