From the UNCG directory, Sep 7, 2026
Kappa Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. is a nonprofit, Asian-interest sorority that was founded on March 9, 1995 at SUNY Binghamton in Binghamton, New York. Our sorority was conceived through the notion of an organization that would provide a culturally sound and educationally inspiring grounding for Asian-American women. We are a cultural sorority with an emphasis on service and commitment to giving back to our members’ communities. We are the FIRST Pan-Asian Interest (but NOT Asian exclusive) sorority to be founded at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and one of the fastest growing Asian organizations in the nation! We host cultural events, fundraisers, workshops, panels, and put emphasis on giving back to our communities through service and philanthropic fundraisers. Most importantly, our sisterhood is what keeps us standing strong today while also allowing us to network and form connections with those within and outside of our organization. The Associate Chapter of Kappa Phi Lambda at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro will not tolerate any discrimination against or harassment of persons on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, political affiliation, genetic information, veteran status, disabling condition, or age.
