InfoSec Club
From the UNCG directory, Sep 10, 2026
InfoSec Club is a student-led cybersecurity community at UNCG open to all majors and experience levels — whether you've never opened a terminal or you're already running CTFs on weekends, there's a place for you here.We meet regularly to build real, hands-on skills through labs, tool demonstrations, and Capture The Flag (CTF) competitions. Topics covered throughout the semester include network fundamentals, Linux and Kali tools, web application security (OWASP Top 10), ethical hacking techniques, personal privacy and OPSEC, and more. Members also get access to platforms like TryHackMe and HackTheBox to practice between meetings.Beyond the technical content, we aim to build a community — connecting students with peers, faculty, and industry professionals who share an interest in cybersecurity and information security careers. No experience required. Bring your curiosity.
