A Moment of Magic (AMoM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that enables college-student volunteers to provide cost-free creative programming services to underserved and medically vulnerable children. Our services aim to "restore the magic of believing when a child needs to 'just-be-a-kid,'" and includes hospital visits, special events, virtual calls, and family visits. The Marquette Chapter was established in March 2021 to spread magic to children in the Milwaukee Metro area and beyond, and we're looking for passionate, service-oriented volunteers to help us achieve this goal! Regular membership is open to all Marquette undergraduate students, and is maintained through active participation in weekly meetings and trainings, as well as organization outreach, fundraisers, and events.Interested in getting involved? Active Minds is an organization working to utilize the student voice to change the conversation about mental health on college campuses. By developing and supporting chapters of a student run mental health awareness, education, and advocacy group on campuses, the organization works to increase students’ awareness of mental health issues, provide information and resources regarding mental health and mental illness, encourage students to seek help as soon as it is needed, and serve as liaison between students and the mental health community.Through campus-wide events and national programs, Active Minds aims to remove the stigma that surrounds mental health issues, and create a comfortable environment for an open conversation about mental health issues on campuses throughout North America.

Welcome to Alpha Chi Omega! We are one of the six Panhellenic sororities on Marquette’s campus. Alpha Chi was founded in 1885, and the Theta Omega chapter was founded on Marquette's campus in 1989. Since then, Alpha Chi has worked to create a community of Real, Strong, Women who support each other on our campus and in Milwaukee. Alpha Epsilon Delta is the National Pre-Health Honor Society dedicated to the encouragement and recognition of excellence in the preprofessional health scholarship, including medicine, dentistry, veterinary, and others. Our Society welcomes ALL students engaged in the pursuit of a professional healthcare career. AED provides opportunity for intellectual and professional development, provides a forum for students with common interests, and extends a program of service to benefit the college/university community.

Alpha Eta Mu Beta (AEMB) is a Biomedical Engineering Honor Society that prides itself in leadership, community service, and education. Due to the value of our society, we accept only the top students in the department during their Junior or Senior Year. Members of the society are involved not only on campus, but in the community as well. Marquette AEMB chapter is 1 of 33 nationwide and is honored nationally as one of the most active chapters.

Alpha Phi Eta Mu has played an integral role in Marquette's campus life for the past three decades, embodying ideals of sisterhood, generosity, innovation, and character development. Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. is the first intercollegiate historically African American fraternity. It was initially a literary and social studies club organized in the 1905–1906 school year at Cornell University but later evolved into a fraternity with a founding date of December 4, 1906. The Epsilon Tau chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc was charted May 13th, 1964

The Illuminating Iota Chapter of ASOLSI was established on October 15th, 2023 by six dedicated womyn. The purpose of this Organization shall be to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and foster open conversations about mental health and suicide prevention among students at Marquette University. This organization supports the student body through educational programming, and fundraising efforts in collaboration with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Signature programming includes the annual Out of the Darkness Campus Walk, mental health awareness tabling, and collaboration with other on-campus mental health organizations and departments.

The American Medical Student Association (AMSA) is a student-led organization focused on enriching the undergraduate experience of pre-medical students. AMSA hosts events to encourage students to explore the medical field and prepare them for the application process. Events include guest speakers (professors, admissions directors, volunteer directors, physicians, and other professionals), MCAT panels, med student panels, gap year panels, blood drives, volunteering activities, and more!

The American Red Cross Club at Marquette University is a service organization based on the American Red Cross mission of helping the local and greater community during a time of need. Our club will participate in multiple service projects throughout the year to help benefit our Milwaukee Community as well as the surrounding areas.

ASCE is an organization that strives to give educational, captivating, and challenging experiences to Civil Engineering students at Marquette University. These experiences include chapter meetings with professional speakers, visits to local construction sites, a Steel Bridge design competition, a Concrete Canoe design competition, and other extracurricular activities that put students in the position to learn, grow, and demonstrate their knowledge at an extraordinary level.ASCE is always looking for new members and while this is an organization based around the profession of Civil Engineering, we welcome students of any major or area of study who attend Marquette. Calling all curious minds! Do you want a space to discuss culture, gender, anatomy, archaeology, or anything under the sun? Then, the anthropology society is for you! We are a group of students challenging the status quo and discussing the intricacies of our world. We meet once a month to discuss a variety of topics, do hands-on activities, and go on trips to local museums. We are always open to new and exciting ideas and suggestions on fun topics and activities to do with each other. Anthropology is everywhere so no topic is off limits! Art Club is open to all Marquette students. The purpose of the club is to provide members with unique art experiences and create opportunities for participants to connect with other art-interested students. Weekly events including hands-on workshops and visits to museums, galleries, and artists’ studios are typically scheduled on Fridays from 2:30-4:00. The purpose of this Organization shall be to connect a wide range of students with the similar goal of representing others – this includes representing athletes, musicians, etc. The target audience of Aspiring Agents is any student who is interested. The club will look to connect students with people who are currently in the field of representing others (agents, lawyers, etc.). The sports industry is a very competitive field to join; especially, the club will help future agents connect and build valuable relationships.

ACM, the world’s largest educational and scientific computing society, delivers resources that advance computing as a science and a profession. ACM provides the computing field's premier Digital Library and serves its members and the computing profession with leading-edge publications, conferences, and career resources.The Marquette chapter of ACM aims to provide a forum for members of the university community to grow as ethical and informed leaders in computing-centric professions, and in an ever more computer-driven world.

The purpose of this Organization shall be to help empower women in computing and give all students opportunities to explore the field through STEM events. This organization will help to support the goals of the national ACM-Women organization by working together to celebrate and support the engagement of women in all aspects of the computing world. Any student (regardless of gender/race/ethnicity/or other affiliation) interested in exploring technology and computing opportunities with any level of experience is welcome. To reach the goals of the organization we plan to attend the Grace Hopper Celebration, have monthly meetings, coordinate and attend events with the 707 Hub, and attend other events or competitions local to the Milwaukee community.

The purpose of The Association of Latino Professionals For America (ALPFA) at Marquette University is to enrich the academic and professional journeys of undergraduate students in the business field by fostering a diverse and inclusive community. We empower students through professional development, networking opportunities, leadership training, and career guidance. Our organization advocates for ethical behavior, self-discipline, and practices that align with our core values while promoting the holistic development of all members. Through these efforts, we aim to build a more diverse, equitable, and successful professional environment.

We are here to enrich you with traditional Mexican folkloric dance and culture. We want to provide a safe space for students to learn Ballet Folklorico at an entry-level to learn about the beauty and diversity of Mexico, while providing opportunities for community involvement, like performing for events on campus to showcase our culture. Bangladesh Student Association, Marquette University (BSAMU) is a non-profitable and nonpolitical association run by Bangladeshi students at Marquette University. BSAMU will have the following objectives:1. Organize social and cultural activities for promoting the interest Bangladesh and Bangladeshi society.2. Extending all possible help and cooperation to all Bangladeshi students of the Marquette University and3. Bayanihan Student Organization at Marquette University is a Filipino cultural organization. Our mission is to promote, educate, and celebrate Filipino Culture with members of Bayanihan, Marquette, and the greater Milwaukee community. Our motto is "working together to achieve a common goal". By working together our organization holds various events on campus to expose people to the Filipino culture.

Best Buddies Marquette University creates communities of inclusion for people with IDD through friendships, integrated employment, & leadership development. Marquette's chapter of Best Buddies pairs Marquette students and members of the community who have an intellectual or developmental disability together in a friendship pair for the whole school year. The primary objective of Beta Alpha Psi is to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence in the business information field. This includes promoting the study and practice of accounting, finance, business analytics, and information systems; providing opportunities for self-development, service, and association among members and practicing professionals; and encouraging a sense of ethical, social, and public responsibility.We hold professional and service-related meetings typically on a weekly basis to integrate students into the workforce and allow them to explore their interests. All events are open to non-BAP members, but going through initiation is highly recommended to gain the full benefit of our organization's resources. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee History and MissionFor more than 35 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee (BBBS) has provided children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported, one-to-one mentoring relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.As an ailiate of the nation’s oldest and largest youth mentoring organization, BBBS makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers and children. Our mentoring programs are proven by independent research to help children who face adversity succeed in and out of school. We hold ourselves accountable for each child in our program achieving three priority youth outcomes—academic improvement, avoidance of risky behavior, and social/emotional development.Change a life for the better, forever!Did you know that you can change a life for the better, forever? With many school-aged children who face adversity on our waiting list in Milwaukee and Waukesha counties, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee is actively seeking new volunteers for our school-based Mentoring Program. Our professional, trained sta will be with you every step of the way. College students make great mentors!Basic Program Requirements: All volunteers must go through a thorough screening process which includes a formal application, layered criminal background screening, references checks and an in-person interview. We ask for a minimum two-year relationship and the availability to meet with the child on a weekly basis. For our school-based program, all volunteers must be 18 years or older and out of high school.School-based MentoringBBBS also operates several mentoring programs at schools in Milwaukee and Waukesha counties. Like the Community-based Mentoring Program, the School-based Mentoring Program focuses on our three priority youth outcomes: academic improvement, avoidance of risky behavior, and social/emotional development. The Biological Undergraduate Society (BUS) stands to help students interested in biology network themselves in their community, discover the vast opportunities in biology, regardless of major, and understand the importance of giving back to others in the science field and the Milwaukee community. BUS members have the opportunity to work alongside faculty members and other students to plan, host, and participate in numerous social, educational, and service-oriented events and activities. Biomedical Engineering Society is a professional society dedicated to advancing the field of biomedical engineering. It is a multidisciplinary organization that brings together engineers, scientists, clinicians, and other professionals who have an interest in the major and its applications. BMES provides a platform for members to share research, discuss current developments, and exchange ideas through conferences, workshops, and publications. It is a huge area for advocacy and outreach initiatives that promote the importance of biomedical engineering and its applications to healthcare, research, and industry.

Biomedical Sciences Research Association (BSRA) provides a welcoming environment for students to discuss current worldwide and campus research initiatives and findings, learn about becoming involved in research positions and programs on campus, and understand the complex aspects of articles and studies. The purpose of BrightMinds is to offer free tutoring sessions twice a week for local students who require additional academic support. By developing structured programs tailored to different learning needs, we strive to help students succeed academically while fostering a positive and encouraging learning environment.

The purpose of the Builders Coalition of Marquette University is to generate and to promote the interest of construction and civil engineering to Marquette students. BCMU holds monthly meetings in which industry professionals guest speak about their experiences in construction. This also serves as an opportunity for students to network with potential employers. Each semester the chapter tours job sites in Milwaukee and/or Chicago to experience the progression and variations of construction projects and learn about the complexities of a construction site. The chapter also does community service with Habitat for Humanity, and attends the annual AGC Student Competition in the fall. BCMU shall strive to further classroom-based learning and provide members with additional knowledge in the industry. Involvement in this chapter shall not be limited to those strictly within the engineering discipline, but will be open to all students interested in construction. Marquette Club Baseball offers the opportunity to compete in intercollegiate organized baseball. The organization will work on general baseball skills and teamwork and will extend the offer to play to both undergraduate and graduate students.

Marquette Men's Club Basketball is an exclusive club at Marquette where tryouts are led at the beggining of every year. What differentiates Club and Intramural is that Club is year round, tryouts are mandatory, and Club plays teams outside of Marquette. The Marquette Club Bowling Team is a competitive bowling team that gives Marquette students the opportunity to actively learn about bowling, travel and compete in tournaments, and enjoy the sport of bowling! Established in 1993, the Marquette Club Curling team has always been coed and open to players of all levels of experience. Practices are held once a week during the winter months, on Fridays at the Milwaukee Curling Club. Equipment as well as transportation is provided.Dues are $50 per semester or $90 for both semesters to cover transportation to and from practice. The first practice is free for all new members. Marquette Club Sailing is situated on beautiful Lake Michigan, and sails out of the Milwaukee Yacht Club. The Marquette Ski and Snowboard Club is the home for those who want to hit the powder! Our free-ride club provides friends, transportation, and lodging to local ski areas in the midwest. These events occur throughout several weekends following Winter Break. We are a competitive, student-run women's soccer team. We practice twice a week and travel to other universities in our conference, that are spread throughout the Midwest, on the weekends for our games. Our main season runs from September to mid-November with continued training and games in the spring semester. We hold tryouts the second week of the school year to select our team that will compete with us in the fall and spring. Our spring practices do open up to outside women with interest in trying out next year.

Marquette Club Swimming is home to members of all skill and experience levels! We have swimmers pushing themselves to make national cut times, and swimmers who come to practice to stay in shape. Marquette Men’s Club Volleyball has been around since 1989. The club has grown throughout the years and continues to be successful. The team has come a long way since entering into Division I in 1997. We have had eight Top Ten finishes, sent two teams to play in the National Tournament each of the last 5 years and won a National Title in 2005. The club competes in some of the most challenging conferences in the nation including the Midwest 10 and MIVA. Marquette Men’s Volleyball continues to grow as a club and always looks forward to continuing to compete at high level.

Women's Club Volleyball is a competitive program comprised of two teams of 10-14 girls per team. Each team competes for a national championship in April of each year. For the 2012-2013 AND the 2013-2014 season the Marquette A team won the National Championship in Division 1, and Marquette B team finished 2nd in Division 3 during the 2013-2014 season.We practice for two hours, two nights per week, and attendance is expected at each practice. We travel to 2-3 tournaments a semester, and we also host two home tournaments at Marquette, one each semester. We strive to be one whole team, to represent Marquette University in the best way possible by giving each opponent our best match, and supporting each team during their matches. Marquette Water Polo is a co-ed club organization that has competed in the American Collegiate Water Polo League since 2015. The competitive season is year round. Applied Investment Management Program: The AIM program allows a select group of finance majors to get hands-on academic and financial analysis experience, including an opportunity to actively manage domestic and international equity and fixed-income portfolios. There are two tracks: Investments and Private Equity and Banking. The Investments track focuses on asset management, while the Private Equity and Banking track concentrates on private and transactional finance. The chapter will have the following membership and structure:Membership: The chapter will be comprised of dental students who are associate members of MSA and have an active interest in furthering the goals of the MSA within the dental student community.Leadership and Board: The subcommittee will have its own elected board composed exclusively of dental students. The Baja SAE Collegiate Design Series (CDS) is an international design competition culminating in static and dynamic events that test students’ competency in the areas of design, fabrication, and presentation skills. The Marquette Chapter will focus on designing and fabricating a Baja competition vehicle and on sending approximately fifteen to twenty interdisciplinary students to attend four competitions: A bi-yearly Official SAE Baja National Competition, the Backwoods Baja Competition hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Stout in October, the Blizzard Baja Competition hosted by Michigan Technological University in February. We are an engineering-focused club that accepts students from all across campus, as a racing team requires work from all disciplines at Marquette.

The Marquette Engineering Student Council, or ESC for short, has been serving the needs of students and organizations for decades. Engineers Without Borders (EWB) is a national and international, non-profit organization that works alongside communities to design and apply engineering solutions to sustainable infrastructure. Do not be misled by the engineering title! EWB is a worldwide team of engineers, volunteers, and students of all educational backgrounds. At Marquette University, EWB-MU works alongside communities in Guatemala. Together students, mentors, and communities have worked together to design and build pedestrian bridges, water tanks, a school, and an electric alternative system for a community orphanage. As an EWB team, we work with communities to design, partially fund, and implement the infrastructure that the community requests. This is a large task, and we therefore have several branches: our student leads hold fundraising, domestic coordination, design, Silent Auction, executive board, and general body meetings. This system allows members to contribute in whatever way suits their interests and talents. We encourage all students, engineering major or not, to join: we need a diverse set of skills to do what we do. Throughout the year we do community, fundraising, and service events. On campus, you will see EWB-MU members selling succulents, bracelets, donuts & coffee, and grilled cheese sandwiches. Our largest fundraising event is our Annual Silent Auction, an event where friends, family, and coworkers come together to learn about and help fund projects. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, donors, and guests, we usually raise around $20k! It is an extremely rewarding event to put together and we need all the help we can get. EWB-MU also volunteers with Habitat for Humanity to help build homes around MKE. We also do a yearly camping trip, taco nights, and game nights (we're partial to Jeopardy), typically organized by the domestic coordination team. EWB is a great way to make good friends - we work and hang out in equal parts. Close relationships and an open, friendly environment are integral to the quality of work we produce.After designing, fundraising, and organizing throughout the academic year, a team is selected to travel to Guatemala to help implement infrastructure alongside the community. The team is chosen on the basis of attendance and engagement to make sure that our representatives are passionate and informed. This is the culmination of the year's project, although student leads and professional mentors will continue to monitor sites for quality over the next few years. Global Brigades is an international non-profit that uniquely implements a holistic model to meet a community’s health and economic goals. Our model systematically builds community ownership and collaboratively executes programs with the end goal of sustainably transitioning to a relationship of impact monitoring.Global Medical Brigades is an international movement of students and medical professionals working alongside local communities and staff to implement sustainable health systems. Work is in remote, rural, and under resourced communities in Honduras, Panama, Nicaragua, Ghana, Greece and Guatemala.The Medical Brigades Chapter @ Marquette is coordinated out of the College of Health Sciences Dean's Office, and is student lead. Members of the Medical Brigade Chapter at Marquette not only serve internationally, but participate in service activities through the year in the greater Milwaukee Area.On a typical medical brigade in a host country, students work in a variety of areas: Intake, Triage (record history and current signs/symptoms, take vitals), Consultation (shadow and scribe for health care providers), Dental (shadow, assist with fluoride application and scribe for health care professionals), Physiotherapy (shadow and scribe for PT and OT health care providers), Charla (informative presentations on good dental and other hygiene practices), and Pharmacy (assist in filling prescriptions for a Pharmacist review and distribution). The Marquette Medical Brigade Chapter typically includes additional days to assist with Public Health and Water Brigade initiatives that are also taking place simultaneously in near by communities.

The public health chapter works under the same holistic model as all the other brigade chapters. It is usually a week long in country service trip to communities in need. While on this brigade volunteers and GB staff help provide proper home sanitation infrastructure to the communities that we work with. Together we are able to provide a first level of prevention of diseases through construction of eco-stoves, latrines, concrete floors, and water sanitation stations. Along with the physical work of these infrastructures comes education initiatives at the community level which are provided by us as volunteers as we assess those community needs.

The Gold ‘n Blues, commonly known as GnB, began with nine students and a small keyboard in the basement of McCormick in early 2008. Hilary Braseth and Katie Blazek came to Marquette their freshman year and were disappointed at the lack of a cappella singing opportunities on campus, because the only group on campus was The Naturals, Marquette's all-male a cappella group. Katie and Hilary decided to pass out quarter-sheets at an MU Chorus rehearsal to gauge interest, and found seven other interested students. From there, the rest is history!The Gold 'n Blues became Marquette’s first recognized and OSD-approved coed a cappella group in the spring of 2008, and held auditions the following year. Since then, GnB has blossomed into a 18-member group and has exploded in recognition on campus and city-wide. From singing at the "Best of the Midwest" a cappella concert at Northwestern University, to the National Anthem at a Miami Heat v. Bucks game, GnB has come a long way from open mic nights at the Brew. In 2022, GnB made group history by competing in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) for the first time and received third place at the Great Lakes Quarterfinal. The group also received 2 out of 4 special awards for "Outstanding Soloist" (Lourdes Galido) and "Outstanding Vocal Percussion" (Carson Scarnegie). They will be competing at ICCAs again in Spring 2026 and are very excited! Gold 'n Blues is committed to spreading their love for music around Marquette’s campus and the Milwaukee area. Now in its 18th year, GnB continues to arrange their own music and has recorded four studio albums.

The student volunteers of Marquette Habitat for Humanity work throughout the school year with Milwaukee Habitat to improve living conditions for Milwaukee residents by assisting on build sites, hosting fundraising events, and spreading Habitat for Humanity's mission.Mostly on Saturdays, there are opportunities to volunteer at many different build sites and ReStores around the Milwaukee area. The Wind Ensemble is a band which performs high-level wind band repertoire. It is designed for those students who are seeking a high-level music-making experience. The Wind Ensemble rehearses from 3:30pm-4:50pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and performs two concerts per semester on campus. Auditions take place the weekend before the first week of classes, and students will audition for placement with the Symphonic Band and the Wind Ensemble at the same time. All students are welcome in the MU bands program, but placement within the Wind Ensemble is competitive.The Symphonic Band is a group designed for students who wish to continue to make music at the collegiate level in a relaxed setting. The group rehearses from 5:00-6:20 Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and performs two concerts during the Fall semester and one major concert during the Spring semester. All students are welcome in the Symphonic Band!The jazz ensembles are a flexible group in terms of size and instrumentation. The jazz groups are open to all students at Marquette, and we have two bands. Rehearsals are once a week on Tuesday, either from 5:00pm-6:30pm or from 7:00pm-8:30pm. The jazz bands perform one major concert per semester.The MU Pep Band is open only to members of the Marquette Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble. The Pep Band performs for all men’s and women’s home basketball games, in addition to special events such as Midnight Madness, Lovell Legacy Run, and the Big East and NCAA basketball tournaments.

We are a no cut Club Sport Fencing team participating in the Midwest Fencing Conference (MFC). We currently field both Mens and Womens Epee, as well as Mens and Womens foil. We practice on Monday Thursday and Friday from 6:00-8:00 pm. On Monday we practice in the Humphrey Practice Space, and on Thursday and Friday we practice on Court 4 in the Helfaer Recreation Center. We attend tournaments at least twice a semester, traveling and competing with other club fencing teams in the Midwest. Our club is open to both experienced and new fencers, everyone is welcome to come and try fencing!

A student-run organization designed to recruit and develop powerlifting athletes to compete at a local, national, and international level. Athletes compete under the USAPL federation and uphold all values and standards of Marquette University students. This club is open to any student or faculty member looking to gain strength and participate in a supportive, team-oriented atmosphere.

Quadball is a mixed-gender, full-contact sport with a unique mix of elements from rugby, handball, and dodgeball. A quadball team has seven athletes on the field at a time, across four different positions. While the game can appear chaotic to the casual observer, once familiar with the basic rules, quadball is an exciting sport to watch and even more exciting to play. Marquette Club Softball was started in 2011 in order to provide Marquette students with a more competitive form of softball. As a step up from intramurals, the club softball team has the opportunity to travel around the Midwest to other colleges in the conference and host home games as well. Since Marquette does not have a D1 softball team, club is the next best thing for competitive fast-pitch softball! The team has been a part of the Great Lakes South Conference since 2018 and we play teams from Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Northern Illinois University, Loyola, and Western Michigan University in both the Spring and the Fall. Our team consists of roughly 80 members who consistently practice 3 times a week: Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday from 8-10pm. The team currently practices at the new Wellness + Helfaer Recreation Center. We are by no means Novak and Serena, however members must have prior tennis experience (many members in the Club competed in their respective State Tournament). In the end, we are a very fun and lively Club that loves tennis! Competition during practices does not happen often, but match play is sprinkled in throughout the year. We also send teams to participate in tournaments across the Midwest against other schools!

Marquette Fishing Club is a means of bringing together student anglers ranging from tournament competitors to those who have never fished before. The Marquette University Investment Club is dedicated to enhancing financial literacy and developing students’ practical investment skills.Each year, the club hosts an investment competition in which participants trade stocks, cryptocurrencies, ETFs, and options while competing for prize money.In addition to the competition, the club holds regular meetings covering a wide range of investment-related topics, including insider trading, options trading, investment strategies, and current market trends.Members also have the opportunity to participate in managing $100,000 of the University’s endowment by pitching ETFs and voting on investment selections.Through hands-on experience, investment discussions, and portfolio management activities, members gain valuable insights into financial markets and develop practical investing skills.The club is open to all undergraduate students, regardless of major.The organization is sponsored by the Finance Department within the College of Business Administration (COBA).

Liz Shanahan and Beth Ohmann, two transfer students from St. Joseph, Minnesota, brought their love for rowing and their strong work ethic to Marquette and helped establish Marquette Crew as one of the many new teams forming in the Midwest.At the first informational meeting that spring, over 150 interested students came to hear more about the sport. Despite this large turnout, there were only 18 charter members. Now that a team was formed, a coach was needed. Enter Nick Schroeder. Schroeder was a coxswain at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His resume included a seventh-place finish in the Elite Eights event at the 1971 Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston. Schroeder signed on to be the first coach of Marquette Crew, and helped build the team from inexperienced students to accomplished rowers. For the first 4 1/2 years he coached all four squads: Varsity men and women, and novice men and women. Marquette Crew partnered up with the Milwaukee Rowing Club who graciously helped the team by allowing them to use boats, oars and other rowing equipment. Today, Marquette Crew has five 4+ racing shells, four 8+ racing shells, a training room on campus for erging, and currently rows out of the new Milwaukee Boathouse opened in Fall 2003.The club has grown tremendously since those 18 brave souls first began rowing. Today, Marquette Crew is the largest club sport on campus with members from all over the United States. The club races throughout the Midwest and takes annual trips to participate in the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston, Massachusetts, and the Dad Vail Regatta, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. From its humble beginnings, Marquette Crew has established itself as a serious competitor in collegiate rowing. We are a club sports team that runs cross country and track & field meets in the fall and spring. We compete in NCAA-affiliated and NIRCA events, as well as a variety of local events ranging from 5ks to full marathons. No experience is necessary, and there are no tryouts. The Marquette Tribune is a weekly campus newspaper that provides the Marquette community with news and a forum for the exchange of opinions. It has the combined function of serving as a learning lab for staff members and acting as a professional outlet for community news. The purpose of this Organization shall be to represent student identities from Middle Eastern and North African backgrounds, and to educate those on the cultures of the MENA region. The target population is undergraduate students at Marquette University. We will plan events to honor the different ethnicities of this region and provide education on the respective cultures.

Contrary to what the name implies, Midnight Run has nothing to do with running or midnight! Midnight Run considers itself to be a movement of compassion towards the community on the margins of society. It began as a student response to a growing community need in 1988. Midnight Run focuses on serving the particular needs of the hungry and homeless people living in the Marquette neighborhood and beyond. This program is organized by a coordinating team of Marquette students under the supervision of Campus Ministry. Volunteers serve in area meal programs, pantries and shelters. Service in Midnight Run is meant to challenge students to integrate their experiences with their faith. Volunteers serve at the same service site on a weekly basis throughout the semester. Midnight Run's philosophy is rooted in the Gospel, with Matthew 25 serving as its hallmark, “What so ever you do for the least of these, you do for me.” Midnight Run is based on the fundamental belief in the dignity and worth of all persons and strives to cultivate a sense of responsibility for caring for all members of our community. Bhangra is a popular folk dance that originated in Punjab, India. We are willing to teach everybody who is not familiar with the dance and make a comfortable environment! Overall, this is a fun and amazing experience that can be shared across the country with talent that the students provide along with their interest in dance!

With the concept and heart of serving others, we try our best to serve the local Chinese students in need and organize activities from time to time to have fun with all the students. Marquette University Players Society is Marquette's student-run theatre troupe. We produce at least 4 productions a year, with student directors, stage managers, designers, and actors. Performances are primarily held in Straz Tower Theater and Helfaer Theatre's Studio 013, almost always free to the public. MUPS allows all students to have a chance to experience theatre without pursuing it educationally or professionally. With that, anybody and everybody is welcome to come into the club to enjoy and participate in an environment that encourages confidence and unity.

MUSNA is an official organization of the WSNA that works to build community, confidence, and leadership among Marquette’s nursing students. MUSNA plans professional development opportunities, engages in community service and fundraising, and organizes social events throughout the year, such as the annual Nightingala in downtown Milwaukee. MU OTD program is a chapter of the larger OT student association of the American Occupational Therapy Association. Organized by students for all students, this organization will aim to promote the profession of occupational therapy to all stakeholders through community activities, social opportunities, and professional and education arenas. Opportunities for leadership and professional growth are plentiful as student board members will be elected in the first semester of the course of study.

The purpose of this Organization shall be to bring students together through fun, social, and accessible walks around Milwaukee. The Multicultural Greek Council at Marquette University was established on April 25th, 2019. Our council currently consists of five organizations— three sororities and two fraternities. The sororities are Delta Xi Phi Multicultural Sorority, Incorporated, Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Incorporated., and Alpha Sigma Omega Latina Sorority, Inc. The fraternities are Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Incorporated and Latino America Unida, Lambda Alpha Upsilon Fraternity, Incorporated Associate Chapter. As the Multicultural Greek Council at Marquette, we aim to spread awareness about multiculturalism and to encourage and embrace diversity here on campus.

Student Organization Funding (SOF) is a process where student organizations and club sports can apply to receive funding for events, initiatives, and goods. This funding is made available every academic semester and is funded by the $40 Student Activity Fee, paid each semester by all full-time undergraduate students. This fee supports student organizations who put on events that serve the entire Marquette undergraduate community, or events or goods that are necessary to the operation of our 300+ orgs on campus. The SOF Committee is the chief manager and allocator of the Student Activity Fee.

MUsic is a place for Marquette musicians to be able to meet each other, jam, talk, and discuss music.Multiple student musician groups have been formed through MUsic, and musicians have been successfully utilizing MUsic'snetworking resources, instruments, and space in Humphrey Hall Theater to find other artists with similar interests and play at venueson campus, as well as attend local shows together.

The Muslim Student Association at Marquette strives to connect Muslim as well as non-Muslim students through the expression of the Islamic faith. The MSA aims to fulfill its purpose by informing and educating the Marquette Community about the aspects of Islamic religion, including Islamic heritage, culture, as well as its history and tradition. The Marquette University Chapter shall serve as an affiliate of the National NSSLHA (National Student Speech Language Hearing Association) in matters appropriately handled at the local level and in matters prescribed in the National NSSLHA Bylaws. NMDP is an organization which collects registrant's genetic information in order to "match" their genes for donation with people diagnosed with leukemia and other blood diseases. With the age range for eligible donations being narrow, the more people added to the registry who are willing to donate, the better. The purpose of this Organization shall be to introduce the Wisconsin outdoors to students who enjoy the outdoors or want to start enjoying the outdoors. The Marquette University Panhellenic Association (PHA) serves as the governing body of the associate and social chapters on campus. The purpose of this Organization shall be to love our siblings experiencing incarceration via visiting, family ministry, diversion, and re-entry.

Philosophy Club is a space that fosters free discussion of philosophical ideas and topics for all Marquette students, including those from other disciplines. Some activities for the philosophy club include include movie/tv show discussion, debate groups, and philosophy-related excursions. The topics are proposed by students and include a wide scope of issues, from effective government to the ethics of happiness. Philosophy Club is currently working with Phi Sigma Tau, the philosophy honor society, for meetings and seeks to engage with other organizations in the future.

PGSA officers are the voice of the graduate students to the administration. Pi Mu Epsilon, Inc (PME), is the Honorary National Mathematics Society. It was founded on May 25, 1914 at Syracuse University and currently has over 300 chapters at colleges and universities throughout the United States. Psi Chi is an international honors society in psychology. If you are accepted into Psi Chi, you have access to the different Psi Chi events on campus as well as additional grants and funding through the Psi Chi website. To be accepted into Psi Chi, you must meet the requirements set by Psi Chi. Apply on the Psi Chi website. Our team will then review your application and have the Registrar check your Psych GPA (3.0 or higher) and whether you are in the top 35% of your class's GPA. These checks happen twice per year, once in fall (Oct-November) and once in spring in mid March. After the check, you should receive an email from Psi Chi confirming whether your application is accepted or declined. If you are accepted, you will also be contacted by the MU chapter about the induction ceremony held in April of each year.

Pure Dance Marquette is a student-led organization of about 30 dancers who come from various dance backgrounds. Pure Dance focuses mainly on contemporary, jazz, and lyrical, but the organization has done several other styles, including hip-hop and ballet. Routines are choreographed by members of Pure, who rehearse on Sunday afternoons and/or Wednesday evenings. Pure Dance holds a showcase on campus at the end of each semester to perform the dances. It allows dancers to continue dancing and work in a team environment with other people who share the same passion for dance.

Rho Lambda, the National Sorority Leadership Recognition Society, was founded at the University of Miami as a local group in 1962 under the direction of Dean Louise P. Mills. In 1974, Rho Lambda received permission from the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) to become a national organization. Rho Lambda subsequently applied to the Federal Government for a Title IX exemption to maintain its single sex status. After receiving this exception, the members of the University of Miami Chapter corresponded with Panhellenic associations across the country in hopes of sparking interest. Commitment Forms and Constitutions were mailed to those Panhellenic groups that expressed an interest and by the end of 1975, there were 20 chapters nationwide. In 1987, Rho Lambda became international, colonizing at the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada. In 1998, Rho Lambda began admitting all sorority women regardless of organization.The Greek letters Rho Lambda stand for Panhellenic Leadership. Those who are leaders light a torch in the darkness for others to follow, and the flame is the symbol of Rho Lambda. Although membership was originally intended for women whose organizations belonged to campus Panhellenics, any sorority woman is now eligible for membership as long as she meets the membership selection criteria. The colors of Rho Lambda are crimson and gold. The pin is a broken triangle with a crimson inset bearing the Greek leaders Rho Lambda in gold. The purpose of Rho Lambda is to honor those women within the sorority community who have exhibited the highest qualities of leadership and service to their Greek community and their sorority. They are women who have furthered the ideals and principles of the Greek community throughout their years of sorority affiliation. The Rock Climbing Club meets indoors twice a week for the whole school year. We teach belay classes and lead climbing classes to all members who are interested. Each semester, our goal is to take at least one trip to Devils Lake State Park (weather depending), as well as a fall break trip to Red River Gorge, Kentucky and a spring break trip to different locations. Various events are hosted at Milwaukee Turners gym, such as climbing-centered games, competitions, mock ice climbing, film showings, and more.The commitment level is whatever you make of it - come to every practice, or come when it fits your schedule, we'd love to have you! There are no club dues, however individuals must pay to climb at Milwaukee Turners - the rate is discounted and will depend on how often you intend to climb. The purpose of the Organization shall be to design and implement domestic and international infrastructure, education, and health-related projects and to facilitate leadership, development, and cooperation. The Organization will work closely with Engineers Without Borders – Marquette University. However, MSE will not be restricted by the bylaws of EWB-MU or their parent, EWB-USA. This mainly applies to the types of organizations and projects the MSE will be sanctioned to work with. See Article IX for further clarification. The target audience of this organization shall be any student, faculty member, or other member of the Marquette University community. The primary means of accomplishing the purpose shall be through trips to project sites to implement improvements requested by the community involved in said site. Design work shall be accomplished by the students with the guidance and support of professional engineers, both within and outside of the Marquette Community. Additionally, events shall be held on Marquette University’s campus to increase knowledge of issues and projects that align with the Organization’s purpose.

Founded at the University of Berkeley in 1919, Sigma Delta Pi strives to unite university students of Spanish who are inspired by the language and the rich culture of ideas from Spain and Latin America. It is the only organization officially recognized by the American Association of College Honor Societies in the area of Hispanic studies. Currently it has 582 chapters throughout the U.S. The Marquette chapter, Gamma Gamma, strives to exemplify the goals of SDP and their motto, "“Spanías Didagéi Proágomen” meaning “Let’s go forth/continue forth under the teaching/guidance of the Spanish language.” Our Gamma Gamma chapter holds monthly meetings, holds social events such as tertulias (conversation practice), and participates in community service opportunities to help the greater Hispanic population of Milwaukee.

The Object of Sigma Phi Delta shall be to promote the advancement of the Engineering Profession; to foster the advancement of Engineering Education; to instill a greater spirit of cooperation among Engineering student and organizations; to inculcate in its members the highest ideals of Virtuous manhood, good citizenship, obedience to Law, and Brotherhood; and to encourage excellence in Scholarship.At Marquette University, we are Sigma Phi Delta's oldest active fraternity. The Eta Chapter was founded on May 23, 1931 when a local Marquette Engineering Fraternity, Omega Sigma Phi, merged with the National Fraternity. Eta Chapter has the largest number of registered alumni in the entire Sigma Phi Delta Organization, with over 900 living alumni worldwide. Eta Chapter has a rich history in the Milwaukee and Marquette Communities and remains very active today. As a yearly tradition Sigma Phi Delta proudly administers the Marquette's College of Engineering Scholarship Examination for incoming freshmen and is usually very active in student government.

Founded on the principles of networking, mentorship, and advocacy, SHPE aims to foster a supportive community where Hispanics and other underrepresented groups in STEM can thrive. By providing access to professional development resources, mentorship programs, and networking opportunities, SHPE endeavors to increase the representation of Hispanics in STEM careers and to promote their advancement and leadership within these fields. Through outreach initiatives and partnerships, SHPE also works to inspire and support the next generation of Hispanic STEM professionals, thereby contributing to a more diverse and inclusive workforce in the STEM disciplines.

Marquette's Society of Women Engineers is a student organization of female engineering students. SWE's main goal is to create an environment that female engineering students from all engineering concentrations can create relationships to support each other throughout their years at Marquette and their careers afterwards. SWE host monthly general body meetings, host monthly social events with other engineering student organizations, travel to the annual international SWE conference, host multiple networking events, and has a mentor program that pairs an upperclassmen engineer with an underclassmen engineer.

The purpose of this Organization shall be to bring a greater and in-depth understanding of the various cultures of Southeast Asians to Marquette’s campus through festivities, food, discussions, and more. SEAC is the main environmental group here on campus. Our purpose is to heighten awareness towards environmental issues among students. We typically have changing monthly events along with a monthly hiking opportunity and campus cleanup. For Spring 2023, we are collaborating with Civic Dialogues to bring ACC founder and climate activist Benji Backer to campus, are working with the Haggerty Art Museum for their Earth Day event, and will be hosting our usual monthly campus cleanups and hikes. Other events for the semester are still in the works and we always welcome any feedback or suggestions from members!

Marquette students volunteering with the local Milwaukee Special Olympics community. Volunteers are involved in practices such as basketball, volleyball, track & field, and bowling, where they assist the athletes and provide support to coaches. This club provides the opportunity to form friendships with athletes and cheer them on during practices and competitions throughout the year. The club also attempts to host events throughout the semester, including surprise visits at practices from the Marquette basketball team.

The Tabletop Gaming Club is a network-based student group committed to helping gamers find both games they enjoy and groups of people to play them with.Board and card games are featured at every meeting, and members can frequently connect to individuals hosting off-campus sessions of tabletop and role-playing games.

Club Tae Kwon Do is an atheletic martial arts team comprised of a range of students anywhere from 3rd degree black belts to students having no previous experience at all. Anyone and everyone is welcome! We are affiliated with JK Lee's Black Belt Academy and practice a mix of World Tae Kwon Do Federation (WTF) and International Tae Kwon Do Federation (ITF) forms. We provide opportunities for 2 colored belt testings and one grand championship tournament every semester. Practices are Tuesday and Thursday evenings in which members are welcome to attend as many or as few practices as possible. Get excited for a great work out and cool camaraderie.

Team ENOUGH chapter at Marquette which will focus on educating college students on ways to support gun violence prevention efforts in our community, state, and nation. Team ENOUGH is a youth-led initiative to demand our elected officials to take action against gun violence. We are saying ENOUGH to gun violence. The Marquette Chapter of The Diabetes Link was founded for the purpose of connecting college students with and affected by diabetes in the hopes that these connections will create a support network which will enable students to fulfill their potential and limit the negative psychological and physical effects of diabetes.

Originally inaugurated in 2023 within the Campus Ministry. Within that year, the Giving Family have partnered with the Salvation Army and donated a plethora of toys/games to the organization. The Giving Family hopes to continue to donate toys and offer academic support via tutoring to those who are in need. The purpose of the Giving Family Organization is to assist and help those who cannot help themselves. As the university strives to carry out the mission of Cura Personalis, we will be providing help and assistance through donation drives to underprivileged children in hospitals around the Milwaukee area, which is aligned with Cura Personalis as we are striving to help all aspects of the community by reaching those who are neglected or struggle to be reached. The international organization now consists of chapters in various colleges and universities in North America and overseas.The mission of UPE is to recognize academic excellence at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in the Computing and Information Disciplines.UPE has received endorsements from the two largest professional computing organizations in the world, the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the IEEE Computer Society (IEEE-CS). The Marquette chapter of UPE was chartered in 2001, and inducts qualified students from the computer science and computer engineering majors.

The Vietnamese Student Association at Marquette University, aims to provide students the opportunity to learn, promote, and celebrate Vietnamese culture through meetings, discussions, outings, and more.

This is a group representing the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS), although any are welcome to attend. It meets on a weekly basis for Bible study along with WELS members from the other Milwaukee universities. We're Written and Spoken, Marquette's weekly poetry and short-form literature club dedicated to -- you guessed it -- providing a friendly space for you to write and share your writing.
