Who are we?We are the Adaptive Abilities Club! We are a service-based club that partners with various organizations in the area to give children and adults with disabilities the opportunity to participate in various sporting events. Some of our most popular activities include rock climbing, downhill skiing, scuba diving, and wheelchair rugby. Opportunities our club has to offer:Get hands on experience with various populations, even before you’re in grad school!Meet a community of all ages, abilities, and sports/recreation interests.Get applicable service hours.Our mission statement:The purpose of this Organization shall be to connect students with people who have disabilities through events that provide mutually beneficial opportunities to promote adaptive abilities and experiences. The mission of our club is to give our time, hands, and hearts to serve our community through various adaptive sports activities and organizations. Our goals areTo grow and learn as we discover the abilities that each person possessesTo work to become better future health care providers and more conscientious human beingsTo provide opportunities for hands-on experience physically interacting with adaptive equipment as well as with individuals with disabilities
