Alpha Phi Eta Mu has played an integral role in Marquette's campus life for the past three decades, embodying ideals of sisterhood, generosity, innovation, and character development. "It is more than just a Greek organization—it's a community of empowered women supporting one another for a lifetime.”As the largest Greek organization at Marquette, Alpha Phi members are deeply involved in a variety of campus activities. Numerous Alpha Phi women lead school clubs, participate in intramural sports, or cheer on the sidelines of university athletic teams, where they uphold elevated expectations for professional and personal growth. Alpha Phi women also prioritize academic excellence throughout their undergraduate experience, demonstrated by the chapter's cumulative GPA of 3.45, with more than 50% of its members consistently earning recognition on the Dean's List each semester. The chapter's exceptional achievements were recognized in Spring 2023 when it was awarded "Sorority of the Year" by Marquette University's Division of Student Affairs. The chapter also received Alpha Phi International's "Excellence in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiatives" award in 2024 and "Excellence in Increasing Recruitment Registration" award in 2025!The Eta Mu chapter is one of 175 collegiate chapters of Alpha Phi across the United States and Canada, benefiting from a global network of accomplished alumnae and a community of over 250,000 members dedicated to friendship, leadership, academic excellence, personal growth, and community service. The chapter's ongoing success is nurtured by this strong support system, providing members with academic scholarships, skills workshops, and leadership conferences across the country. Alpha Phi Eta Mu actively supports the Alpha Phi Foundation, which promotes women's well-being and leadership development. As advocates for women's cardiac health research, the Foundation empowers women through philanthropic initiatives. Through fundraising events like the annual Red Dress Gala, the Eta Mu chapter raised over $51,000 in 2024 to advance women's cardiovascular care, showcasing their commitment to making a difference in their community and beyond.
