The Baja SAE Collegiate Design Series (CDS) is an international design competition culminating in static and dynamic events that test students’ competency in the areas of design, fabrication, and presentation skills. The Marquette Chapter will focus on designing and fabricating a Baja competition vehicle and on sending approximately fifteen to twenty interdisciplinary students to attend four competitions: A bi-yearly Official SAE Baja National Competition, the Backwoods Baja Competition hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Stout in October, the Blizzard Baja Competition hosted by Michigan Technological University in February. We are an engineering-focused club that accepts students from all across campus, as a racing team requires work from all disciplines at Marquette.
