The purpose of the Organization shall be to design and implement domestic and international infrastructure, education, and health-related projects and to facilitate leadership, development, and cooperation. The Organization will work closely with Engineers Without Borders – Marquette University. However, MSE will not be restricted by the bylaws of EWB-MU or their parent, EWB-USA. This mainly applies to the types of organizations and projects the MSE will be sanctioned to work with. See Article IX for further clarification. The target audience of this organization shall be any student, faculty member, or other member of the Marquette University community. The primary means of accomplishing the purpose shall be through trips to project sites to implement improvements requested by the community involved in said site. Design work shall be accomplished by the students with the guidance and support of professional engineers, both within and outside of the Marquette Community. Additionally, events shall be held on Marquette University’s campus to increase knowledge of issues and projects that align with the Organization’s purpose.
