NMDP at Marquette (National Marrow Donor Program)
From the Marquette directory, Sep 7, 2026
Do you want to save a life? Join "NMDP on Campus." Our goal is to recruit students to join the stem cell registry, and advocate for legislation improving stem cell treatment outcomes. NMDP is an organization which collects registrant's genetic information in order to "match" their genes for donation with people diagnosed with leukemia and other blood diseases. It is important to recruit college aged donors because younger cells result in improved health outcomes. With the age range for eligible donations being narrow, the more people added to the registry who are willing to donate, the better. Help us educate college students about the donating process, host registry event drives, advocate for legislation, and fundraise for this amazing cause.
