The Activities Programming Board, affectionately known as APB, is an exciting and active club that provides the campus with events ranging from Bingo nights, festivals, Semi Formal, Spring Concert, and everything in between. Alliance is UNE's LGBTQ+ support and social club. We aim to give students who are part of and supporters of the LGBTQ+ community a space to find friends and support within the UNE student body. Whether this is through weekly meetings or larger social events, we want to provide a fun, inclusive, educational, and most importantly, a safe environment to express oneself however they are.

The American Medical Women's Association is a national organization focused on connecting women in medicine, from physicians and medical students to pre-meds. The UNE undergraduate branch of AMWA aims to connect undergrads with the national AMWA organization and allow them to take advantage of its networking opportunities, workshops, and regional conferences.

The University of New England American Red Cross Club (UNE ARCC) is an American Red Cross of Northern New England Based club aimed at serving the community through the university level and beyond by organizing the on campus blood drives, providing free or discounted certifications for first aid, CPR, and AED. Additionally, the club intends to work hard in collaborating with other clubs, organizations, and the university to raise money for natural disaster relief around the world and providing support and care packages to our men and women in military service. UNE ARCC runs under (5) sub-committees as follows: Disaster Relief, Lifesaving Blood, Training+Certification, Military Families, and International Services. The club works hard to give back to the surrounding communities in all ways possible with fundraising and program opportunities.

Anime Club will be a place to stream anime with other peers and hang out and have fun. Members can also share their love for manga and share their favorites with other members. Anime Club will be a place for all people of the similar interest of anime to come together and enjoy what we all love.

The AES club is for anyone who is interested in the science behind athletic performance, sports nutrition, and disease prevention and management. We offer several learning experiences, collaboration with other clubs, academic events, and opportunity to form relationships with your peer group, mentors, faculty, and even network with alumni!!!

The purpose of the UNE Aquaponics Club shall be to educate members on the benefit/purpose of aquaponics as a form of aquaculture. Club members will be given hands on experience building and operating aquaponics systems. This hands-on education will be coupled with meetings discussing different systems and their uses with the environmental impacts, different system forms and plant/eventual invertebrate care.

Art Club is an organization that promotes the use of art to express identity, concepts, feelings, and ideologies to other students, faculty, the university, the surrounding community, and the world at large. The organization hopes to dismantle the stigma that only experienced artists can create meaningful or visually attractive pieces, and that all people of all backgrounds, abilities, and experiences can make artwork. UNE Art Club hopes that through fostering an open, accepting, and encouraging environment, that we can create and house a much more art-filled campus for all.Art Club also provides information and resources on the various art classes, majors, and minors that are offered through the university; as well as community opportunities to work with other local artists. In addition, we provide equal opportunity in the form of art supplies and tools for underprivileged and/or low income students who have an interest in creating artwork.

Athletic Training Club mixes educational learning and fun activities for students in the Athletic Training program!

The University of New England is a Division III member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), joining for the 1999-2000 academic year. UNE currently sponsors 18 varsity sports; 11 on the women's side in basketball, cross country, field hockey, ice hockey, lacrosse, rugby, softball, soccer, swimming, track & field [outdoor], and volleyball, and 7 men's programs in basketball, cross country, football, golf, ice hockey, lacrosse, and soccer. Beginning in 2024-25, women's golf will become the 19th varsity sport overall and 12th for women.Additionally, the UNE Department of Athletics offers numerous opportunities for participation in club sports and intramural sports. Under club sports, there are teams (20) for baseball, cheerleading, dance, equestrian, esports, fencing, field hockey, gymnastics, men's ice hockey, women's ice hockey, women's lacrosse, rowing, men's rugby, softball, women's soccer, men's swimming, tennis, ultimate frisbee, men's volleyball, and women's volleyball.Under intramural sports, there are such activities as basketball, beach volleyball, billiards, broomball, bubble soccer, dodgeball, flag football, floor hockey, handball, ice hockey, indoor soccer, inner tube water polo, kickball, outdoor soccer, pickleball, racquetball, softball, table tennis, tennis, ultimate frisbee, volleyball, and wiffleball.

Best Buddies is an international organization that focuses on helping those in the community with intellectual and developmental disabilities explore and create new opportunities.Our chapter here at UNE has done lots of fundraising and we are excited to finally be able to work with members of the Biddeford community. The Black and Latinx Student Union (BLSU) Is a student run organization aimed at creating a safe and inclusive community for Black and Latinx students on campus to thrive socially and build lasting connections with each other.

This club's main goal is to bring people together and support new connections, all with a free meal! The club will organize breakfast events, and maybe some special events too, to support healthier eating habits and nutrition goals for the most important meal of the day. Students can come together and learn cooking techniques, meet new people, and of course, enjoy a good meal!

The club baseball team plays in the North Division of the New England Collegiate Baseball Association (www.necba.com). Other competition includes New Haven, Quinnipiac, UNH, etc. Open tryouts are held in early-September. The team plays its home games at St. Louis Field located at 284 Hill Street in Biddeford.

The UNE Field Hockey Club was founded in the Fall of 2017 and currently has over 30 members. They are honorary members of the NFHL and compete against other club competition within New England. All home games are played at UNE's Blue Bolt Field located at 2 Hedley Reynolds Way in Biddeford.

The UNE Men's Ice Hockey Club in the fall of 2013 and has over 25 active members each season. The club practices 2 times per week in the Forum Rink and is a full member of the New England Club Hockey Association (NECHA). For more information please contact the club representatives below.

Club Softball was founded in the Fall of 2018 and has over 20 members. They are members of the New England East conference of the National Club Softball Association (NCSA) and compete against schools like UMaine, UNH, UMass Lowell, UVM, etc.

The University of New England Club Sport program promotes and advances healthy lifestyles through participation opportunities, both on and off campus. The program stresses teamwork, community, and student development. Expanding on these three core values the program aims to aid in a healthy lifestyle, self-confidence, and building relationships on and off campus.The University of New England Club Sport program is a unique campus experience emphasizing recreational opportunities, student development and leadership activities. The success of club sports is dependent on student involvement, availability of facility or training space, coaches and advisors, educational opportunities and effective student leadership. Club sport teams are funded entirely by the Undergraduate Student Government, and supplement this funding through various fundraising activities. The UNE Tennis Club is a coed club founded in the spring of 2017. They are affiliated with the USTA and compete regionally against other club teams like UMaine, Brandeis, SNHU, etc.

The UNE Women’s Club Ice hockey program is part of the Independent Women’s Club Hockey League and ACHA Division II. We are committed to allowing students to pursue their passion for the sport while also maintaining student life. Formed in 2015, this organization strives for a competitive, fun team environment where all levels are welcome, and encouraged to come skate. Our work as a team develops personal growth which applies to both team and student life on campus. The Women's Club Soccer Team was founded in the Fall of 2022. We are looking to foster an encouraging soccer environment for UNE students. Undergraduate and graduate students from both campuses are welcome to join. We currently have 35 members and hope to create a competitive, yet fun experience.

Coral club aims to provide a space for students interested in coral reefs to engage in fun activities and discussions surrounding corals. We hold events including movie nights, game nights, and research discussions all pertaining to coral reefs. We collaborate with other labs and clubs on campus to expand our involvement and experience with coral.

Hi! We are the CWC, a group formed out of a common interest in writing. We meet biweekly and use prompts to come together and share our work with each other in a supportive way. All forms of writing are welcomed and celebrated, as we have poets, short story writers, novelists, and prose writers, all sharing work and seeking to build connections with each other. Our goal is to improve our writing and enhance the creative arts community through collaborations and writing events!

The Criminology Club is open to everyone interested in criminological concepts such as exploring why people commit crime and looking at major crimes and their motives. The Criminology Club's goals for this upcoming academic year are to be involved in the UNE community and provide resources and educational outreach for students interested in criminological concepts, internships, and careers. As a club, we hope to collaborate with other clubs and host events with guest speakers for students to get involved and make connections as well as learn more about the topic of criminology and the different aspects of crime in large and small scales and how it affects our world.

UNE's Female Athlete Alliance works to promote gender equality in sports through activities, education, and community outreach at UNE. It also provides a safe, supportive environment in which UNE students can openly discuss concerns and experiences. Welcome to Frederick Hall!

This organization is for gardening enthusiasts! In this club, we are going to meet monthly and in the first meeting of every month, we are going to take a poll on which seed we will plant and go over the proper way to take care of this plant. Each month will be a different category of the plant (ex. one month is a flower, one is succulents, one is healing etc..) We will spend this meeting in various forms such as decorating pots by painting them. Along with this, we will be preparing the base for our seedlings. In the first meeting, we hope to provide food so people can eat while listening to the taking care of the plant presentation. The second meeting of the month will consist of us planting our plants. This will be a very good stress-relieving club that will help students get their minds off school.

The Global Education Program aims to foster global citizenship by providing the opportunity for all students to study abroad. Our program offers English-language courses in the sciences, humanities, business, and the arts, as well as language study in Arabic, Spanish, and French.

The UNE Gymnastics club practices at Dudziak's Gymnastics (9 Pomerleau St. Biddeford) 2-3 days a week from October to April. Qualified individuals from the team compete in the NAIGC (National Association of Intercollegiate Gymnastics Clubs) national competition each year in addition to local meets around New England. All levels of experience are welcome!

The Health Professions Living Learning Community is an opportunity for first year students in the Westbrook College of Health Professions to fully explore their chosen career path, develop as leaders in their field and successfully transition to the college environment. Health Professions LLC students will take at least two common courses over the year, receive additional support and mentoring from a collaborative team of faculty and staff, and engage in a variety of experiential learning opportunities.

A club dedicated to promoting and organizing educational and hands-on learning activities related to honey bee conservation and bee-keeping skills. The club will work with other environmentally-oriented organizations such as Earth's ECO and the Edible Campus Initiative to maintain a healthy bee colony and contribute to UNE's overall sustainability.

UNE's fishing club. We hold biweekly meetings going over some future club events and ideas on what we can do. We talk gear and what's good to use when and where, along with knot tying techniques and how-to's. We hold group fishing trips, fly tying events, and how-to fly fish (we'll also teach you how to fish conventionally!). The Fishing Club partakes in many off-campus fishing trips including Sebago Trolling for Lake Trout and Salmon, Ice fishing, Groundfishing for Cod and Haddock, and much more!

The purpose of the “Invisibility in Healthcare” club shall be to support those with invisible and chronic illnesses; anything from mental health to physical disabilities, and those that have been discriminated against in healthcare. We also aim to educate future healthcare professionals and community members about our struggles and how to better navigate this complicated issue, to overall improve the future care patients are receiving.

The Lavender Community is for students who identify as LGBTQIA+ or as allies of the community. Residents will have the opportunity to develop, foster, and explore identity, get connected to campus and local resources, and participate in specialized programming provided by UNE supports. This is first and foremost a space for LGBTQIA+ identified individuals to feel safe and thrive.

UNE Library Services is a hub of curiosity led by expert librarians who are here to guide and support you on your academic journey. The Library supports the university community to find and access trustworthy, free information, unique resources, and expert research support.

The Marine Living Learning Community is an opportunity for Marine Sciences, Marine Affairs, and Marine Entrepreneurship majors to more fully explore their area of study, develop as leaders, and successfully transition to the college environment. Marine LLC students will take at least two common courses over the year, receive additional support and mentoring from a collaborative team of faculty and staff, and engage in a variety of experiential learning opportunities on the shores of coastal Maine.

The Medical Biology LLC is an opportunity for students that plan to pursue graduate education in medicine, veterinary, dentistry, optometry, etc. This community is distinct from the Health Professions Community and is intended for pre-health students enrolled in majors within the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS). In addition to taking at least two common courses over the year you will be able to explore your intended field of study, connect with student support services, and receive opportunities to engage in experiential learning with your classmates.

The UNE Men's Rugby Club was founded in 2010. As a member of NERFU and USA Rugby, the UNE men's Rugby Club competes in the NERFU Challenge Cup (North Division) and in other regional competitions. All home contests are on Barbara J. Hazard Field located across from the Campus Center.

UNE Mixed Martial Arts is an organization on campus for people who want to train in MMA. Although there will be no hard sparring, we do a combination of mitt and heavy bag drills, basic and light jiu-jitsu drills, and wrestling practice. This is a place for people to get together, practice good technique, and get a good workout in. For the people who practice the sport, college is notoriously a dreaded place in the sense where we have to stop doing what we love. With this club, we can keep in shape and maintain good technique until we all are able to get back home again. The people in this club are all incredibly friendly and welcoming, we really all are like one big family. Join the family!!

Move UNE Dance is a welcoming and inclusive dance club designed for people of all experience levels who want to explore the art of dance in a supportive environment. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have danced before, you’re invited to join without any pressure or prerequisites. Our focus is on creativity, choreography, and self-expression rather than competition or high-stress performances. We believe dance should be an enjoyable and relaxing way to connect with movement and others, so there are no tryouts, no mandatory large-scale performances, and no competitive events. The club meets once a week, consisting of a short warm-up and stretch session. Afterward, learning new choreography and exploring different styles through improvisational exercises that encourage creativity and personal expression. At the end of each semester, there’s an optional showcase where members can perform the choreography they’ve learned. This is a relaxed opportunity to share what we’ve created with friends and the community in a supportive setting. Move UNE Dance is all about enjoying dance as an art form and growing creatively.

Music appreciation club is a space for students of all backgrounds to come together and share their tastes, play fun games, discuss favorite bands, and broaden their music taste while also discussing the personal impacts of various songs/artists in a calm and fun environment! No matter what you may listen to, whether it is alternative, rock, pop, rap, R&B, country, or other genres, this club is for you! Join our close-knit community of individuals with various tastes that may open you up to new music (or old)!

In the book club, we will hold bi-weekly meetings that are timed to be 60-90 minutes to discuss our chosen reading and book of the month. Members will be able to recommend books they would like to read, and the books with the most interest could be chosen as a monthly reading. The location for meetings will be held in the basement of the library, in St. Francis. Members can bring food or snacks to share among the group during meeting time, otherwise, food is mostly provided. Members are asked to bring some ideas, discussion topics, and likes/dislikes about the chosen novel. Our books will cover a wide variety of topics from fiction to poetry. Membership is welcome to all existing students at the University of New England. Through our club's conduct, actions, and membership, we shall not discriminate regarding race, color, religion, sex, age, marital status, handicap, national origin, or sexual preference.

To spread health tips and provide easier access to more nutritious foods to students on campus. Many com to UNE and plan their own meals or build their own plates for the first time in their lives. With the help of this club, students will have greater knowledge on how to eat for their demographic. Additionally, we volunteer in the Biddeford community to teach the general public about basic nutrition facts.

Purpose: To champion the "Whole Health" philosophy of UNE by highlighting the critical link between oral hygiene and systemic wellness.Mission Statement: The UNE Oral Health Awareness Club is a student-led initiative dedicated to bridging the gap between dentistry and general medicine. We aim to educate the UNE student body on the oral-systemic link, advocate for integrated healthcare, and provide preventative dental education to our neighbors across the Biddeford and Portland communities.

UNE Outdoor Recreation exists to capitalize on the adventure possibilities that our waterfront campus, and the great state of Maine provides. Outdoor Rec hosts it's own weekly trips, in addition to supporting outdoor orientated clubs.We stand ready to bring the students of UNE great adventures, and opportunities for leadership development.

Outing Club works to provide students with the ability to experience different outdoor excursions. Our trips include weekly hiking and rock climbing, as well as larger trips such as white water rafting, ice climbing, and spring break trips.

Padua Hall Events & Programs

Partners for World Health's mission is to collect unused medical supplies from local medical facilities and to distribute those medical supplies to international communities in need. This work limits the negative impact we have on the environment and provides much-needed resources to the developing world. To support our work in improving health conditions around the world, we send local medical personnel on medical missions to developing countries, and we educate our local Maine community about global health issues. As a student member of the college chapter, you will be supporting PWH in multiple ways. We will go as a group (and individually) to volunteer at the PWH warehouse in Portland. We will also help organize container shipments, school events, and overall support their mission to support developing countries. Members of the club who show true commitment may have the chance to go on a medical mission.

The purpose of People of Politics shall be to promote and advocate for political science related issues as well as organize events to bring together those in the political science program. Some of our goals include inviting political science alumni to talk with current students about their careers or studies post undergrad. As well as inviting some speakers who have been in the political science field for a while, including Judge Black. Host events for political science students so we can spread advocacy for issues around the world, foster a sense of community within the major, and promote the political science major and projects.

We are a club at the University of New England that is geared towards undergraduate students interested in pursuing careers in dental hygiene and dental medicine. We vary from students who have already applied to dental schools to students that are just beginning their academic career and looking to gain experience in the dental field. Through guest speakers, dental shadowing, and local volunteer outreach, we strive to expose students to a wide range of dental opportunities and prepare applicants for dental school admissions.

This club works to provide all pre-med track students at UNE with guidance and opportunities to prepare for medical school. We cater towards all undergraduate students by hosting information sessions and resume workshops (underclassmen) to medical student panels and guest physicians (upperclassmen).

The Pre-OT club aims to help students connect with others that share the same passion of occupational therapy. Members are given many opportunities to get involved both within UNE and out in the community throughout the year. There are volunteer opportunities every month, along with events held both on and off campus that directly relate to occupational therapy. Members have the chance to meet and ask questions to occupational therapists that come to speak at the school, and hear from UNE graduate students to learn tips and tricks for navigate applying and preparing. This club aims to help students gain a sense of community, get more involved, and gain knowledge on their future profession.

The pre-pharmacy club aims to provide a system of support for students studying or curious about pharmacy. You will find that some of our members have worked in various pharmaceutical environments and can answer questions about what it's really like to work in the field. Our members can also answer questions about classes, professors, and study habits. The main purpose of this club is to set our members up for success while we are all cramming for exams and busy balancing hefty workloads. This is not an easy path to go down, but with a strong support system and dedication, it is possible. Questions are encouraged, so feel free to contact any board member.

The purpose of the Pre-PT club is to hold meetings to prepare undergraduate students for the application process and DPT school. This includes bringing in current DPT faculty and students, as well as local physical therapists who can provide insight on the profession. The club also holds meetings where we focus on wellness, such as yoga and basic physical therapy stretches. The club is open to all interested undergraduate students, not just those on a pre-DPT track.

As a member of this club, you will be given the opportunity to boost your graduate application for physician assistant school and gain knowledge about the profession.Throughout the year, the club will be taking part in many activities and information sessions including but not limited to: certification for patient care hours, reviewing the CASPA application process, steps you can take to prepare for graduate school, Q&A sessions with the graduate students from the UNE PA Program, a tour of UNE's PA school in Portland, and multiple PA guest speakers. Even if you're not on a PA track but it's something you're interested in, join the club!

This club is for anyone who has an interest in animals, and has hopes of applying to vet school in the future. This club will serve as guidance to those who need help in the application process, or those who just want to learn more about animals. We plan to try and volunteer, get guest speakers, do an animal cpr class, and so much more.

The Professional League of Undergraduate Students (PLUS) is a student-led business organization at the University of NewEngland dedicated to supporting and advancing BIPOC undergraduate students interested in business, entrepreneurship, andprofessional leadership. PLUS provides a platform for professional development, networking, and career readiness throughworkshops, speaker series, mentorship, and community partnerships. As a direct affiliate of UNE’s Black Student Union, the clubworks to strengthen economic empowerment, leadership skills, and the overall presence of BIPOC students on campus. PLUS alsoprovides all interested students access to opportunities while building meaningful connections between students, alumni, localbusinesses, and organizations across Maine, creating a sustainable pipeline for student success, post-graduate employment, andentrepreneurial growth within Maine’s business ecosystem.

The PSI CHI Honor Society Chapter is available to students who are pursuing a degree, or minor, in an area of the psychological field at the University of New England. We are a place to access resources, ask questions, and find different paths to careers within the psychology field.

Pulse: UNE Medical Missions Club works with the Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children (FIMRC) to give student-lead, on-campus chapters the incredible opportunity to work with children by participating in both the clinical and health education aspects of on-site operations in many locations. These locations include Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, India, Nicaragua, Peru, Philippines, and Uganda. FIMRC’s mission is to provide access to healthcare for low-resourced and medically underserved families around the world. Volunteer activities involve attending to clinical needs and psychological services, observing primary care consults and inputting patient information into an electronic medical records system. Volunteers will also be leading interactive health education sessions with teens, children, and families. Chapter members gain invaluable experience working alongside health professionals, interacting with international communities, and forming unforgettable memories and skills that last a lifetime.Pulse’s mission and impact here on campus and within local communities is to actively raise awareness about public health and provide services to families and children in local hospitals and soup kitchens, along with the leading of many service projects which include holding fundraisers, conducting donation drives, coordinating community service events, and volunteering as well!

The Red Sneakers for Oakley (RSFO) Club at UNE is a student-led organization dedicated to food allergy awareness, advocacy, and campus-wide safety. Our mission is inspired by the tragic story of Oakley Debbs, an 11-year-old boy who passed away in 2016 from a fatal anaphylactic reaction after unknowingly eating cake containing walnut extract while on vacation in Maine. In his memory, his parents founded RSFO, choosing his favorite red sneakers as a global symbol to represent the urgent need for better education and preparedness regarding life-threatening allergies. Building on UNE’s achievement as the first FARE Silver Status university in Maine, our chapter bridges the gap between dining safety and student life through life-saving education, such as workshops on anaphylaxis recognition and travelling abroad with severe allergies. We advocate for increased epinephrine access in residence halls and athletic facilities while hosting inclusive events, including "Red Sneaker Days" and allergen-free workshops in the nutrition test kitchen, to foster a sense of belonging and reduce the social isolation often felt by students with dietary restrictions. By connecting students to the national "Epi Everywhere" campaign, RSFO at UNE empowers our community to drive meaningful policy change and ensures our campus remains a safe, inclusive beacon for all.

The purpose of Scope Investments is to promote and organize various activities relating to investing strategies. This organization is dedicated to fostering student financial literacy, practical investment experiences, and collaborative learning among all of its members. Guest Speakers, financial learning, various workshops that are created to help students engage in investment opportunities. Our goal is to help students build meaningful connections, developed our understanding of financing and investments, and to build important skills that will help us in our future careers.

The SCUBA club will advertise and organize a certification class to be held once each semester for fall and spring. Dive opportunities will be announced with the President or Advisor. For trips that may encounter a high-risk factor, a mandatory meeting will be announced at least one week prior to departure. This meeting will be to discuss the risk factors and to complete any forms deemed necessary by the Activities Director. Students who want to participate in a club dive must come to two consecutive meetings prior to the dive.

The purpose of Sober Space is to provide a sober setting for people to have fun, socialize, and do activities such as: games, crafts, party, etc. We want to show that no one needs drugs or alcohol to have fun. The purpose is not to medically or psychologically treat any addiction, nor to pledge anyone into sobriety. If a student shares that they are struggling with drug or alcohol addiction, we will provide an information sheet with recovery information such as the: UNE counseling center, secular and non secular recovery groups/programs, hotlines, etc. We aim to foster gratitude, friendship, positivity, and community, without the presence or pressure of substance use.

The Society for Women in Marine Science brings together marine scientists of all career levels to discuss the diverse experiences of women in marine science, celebrate the research done by women in the field, and promote the visibility of women in the marine science community. Storm Surge is UNEs instrumental music ensemble on campus. Storm Surge's members are students coming from all different majors across UNE!Our group currently meets on a weekly basis for ninety minute long rehearsals and 30 min small group sectionals, providing students with constant opportunities to play! During this time, we prepare a variety of different musical pieces ranging from classical music to various rock and pop songs. These pieces are practiced until they are at performance level, at which point our group will perform them in front of an audience at various events throughout the school year.We are always looking for new members here at Storm Surge! The Biddeford Student Nursing Association is a student run nursing club at UNE. The Bolt is the University of New England’s primer news publication! We give students a platform to have their voices be heard on a global and local scale. With staff in Biddeford, Maine, we provide interesting and distinct coverage on a multitude of topics. Students can write about topics ranging from pop culture, student events, to sports. Non-members are also able to submit pieces for open review and possible publication.

The ULead Student Leadership Program offers the training and education that you need to be the best leader you can be throughout your college career and beyond.The Leadership Fellows both explore their own personal relationship to leadership and provide information to their peers about how to develop as students & future professionals.

The Undergraduate Student Government (USG) is committed to being the voice of the undergraduate students at the University of New England. Through advocacy, cooperation, and mutual respect - the Undergraduate Student Government works with student leaders, faculty and staff, and University Administrators to communicate student concerns and find appropriate and meaningful solutions. Additionally, the Undergraduate Student Government works with clubs and organizations to allocate Student Activity Fee dollars to create a campus that is engaging - socially and academically. Lastly, through advocacy work, USG aims to create an environment where all students feel welcomed and appreciated.

The AALSO club is the Aquatic Animal Life Support Operators. We run a certification exam for marine majors that is an industry standard to help those after college. We also go to the AALSO convention where we are able to present research that we do during the semester, meet with others in the aquaculture industry, and learn about new techniques being used.

The UNE Astronomers are a group of students who are interested in observing the night sky through the use of telescopes and other astronomical equipment. The UNE Birders is the premiere birding club on campus! Mainly dealing with ornithological related activities on and off campus, the Birders are a group of aspiring ornithologists, environmentalists, bird lovers, and more. Our main activities include birding (bird watching), getting the general population involved in ornithology, and maintaining a suitable habitat for birds on campus.

UNE D20 is focused on creating a safe and welcoming environment for students to learn how to play the tabletop game Dungeons and Dragons. Planned Parenthood Generation Action is a Maine youth group aimed at advocating, volunteering, and informing others on safe sex, birth control, and access to reproductive health care.

The UNE Hay Day organization is a place for students to collectively play Hay Day together and form a community around this activity. Currently in the game, there is a UNE Farmers neighborhood which has 23 active members. Players help each other out and work to finish group tasks together. This club will promote getting together on a regular basis and playing the game. Aside from building a social community, this will also be a place for students to relieve stress and have designated time to not worry about school assignments or other life events.

UNE Hunger Initiative encompasses the organizations Food Recovery Network (FRN), the on-campus community gardens, the on-campus resource hub, as well as various volunteer and educational activities to promote access to nutritious foods and to promote healthy and happy living. Food Recovery NetworkFood Recovery Network is a nationwide organization in which leftover food from various schools' dining halls are recovered and are then donated to local food banks/shelters and community meal programs.Our mission: To provide those liviing in "food insecure," or living with limited access to nutritious foods, access to the foods they need to combat hunger and therefore related health issues.By recoverying leftover foods, the amount of food waste is significantly decreased, and others receive the food they need for themselves and their families.UNE's Food Recovery Network chapter was officially created in February 2015. It has had a very positive influence on UNE and our connection with the community.Volunteers recover food three times each week for about an hour total per recovery (includes travel time). We currently deliver all of the donated food to Bon Appetit Community Meal Program in Biddeford. Community GardensThe on-campus community gardens are used by students and faculty at UNE. Vegetables are planted for personal use, as well as for our Food Recovery Network in the efforts of building access to nutritious vegetables for those who need them most. The plots are currently located adjacent to the parking lot across from the Marine Science Center, also known as the overflow lot.Volunteer Activities, including:Volunteering at Bon Appetit Community Meal Program three times a week.Additional volunteering at food kitchens.Partnership with Rise Against Hunger to host a meal packaging event in which over 10,000 meals are prepared by students and local community members to be shipped to food insecure communities.Any other volunteer opportunities connected with the community. Hands-on field work, gathering vegetables from a local garden in Saco Educational Activities, including:Creating posters, attending FRN conferences, hosting events or speakers, designing bake sales, and collaborating with similar clubs on campus to raise awareness regarding the issue of hunger in the United States, and the benefits of nutritious eating. Hosting Swipe Out Hunger drives to promote donation of extra meal swipes to students in need on campus.

The UNE Music Production Club is a vibrant community of students passionate about creating, producing, and exploring music across all genres. Whether you're a seasoned producer, an aspiring sound engineer, or simply curious about the art of music production, this club offers a collaborative space to learn, create, and share your work, while fostering a creative environment where members can experiment with sounds, exchange ideas, and collaborate on projects. While Music Appreciation or Storm Surge emphasizes listening, theory, and performance, this club is hands-on and centered around creating original music from scratch. The UNE Music Production Club offers a unique focus on the technical process of music creation, allowing members to engage with modern production tools and techniques not typically explored in traditional music groups.

UNE Players aims to produce a fall straight show and a spring musical each year, along with opportunities such as sponsoring a trivia round and hosting other events! We want to continue to have several Open Mic nights throughout the semester as well.

The UNE Pokemon Go Club aims to unite students in the UNE community interested in Pokemon Go through in-game events and opportunities, and to host themed events corresponding with Pokemon and Pokemon Go.

UNE Professional Sales Group is a dedicated community of students who are passionate about developing sales skills and preparing for successful careers in the industry. Our mission is to create a collaborative environment where members can learn from industry professionals, engage in hands-on training, and gain valuable networking opportunities. Through workshops, guest speaker events, and sales competitions, we are looking to enhance all of our understandings of sales strategies and other key skills. Our goal in UNE PSG is to build connections, share knowledge, and empower each other to achieve our professional goals.

UNE Rotaract Club is our university’s extension of the global organization, Rotary International. There are Rotary Clubs in over 200 countries and over 10,500 Rotaract Clubs. They are most known for their work to end polio, but are focused on coming together to promote peace, fight disease, support education and solve any other problems people face globally.We work closely with the Rotary of Saco Bay who willingly give advice, connections and support as we move through college. We volunteer here in our community along with the Rotary club. This organization is a great way to be apart of something bigger than us as UNE, but also a great way to give back to the community that supports UNE.

The purpose of the “UNE StrongHER” shall be to promote and organize events related to all variations of fitness and wellness for anyone who identifies as a woman or non-binary. This club aims to encourage confidence in and outside the weight room and creates a welcoming space to learn and make friends. UNE StrongHER will also hold educational sessions regarding women's health and wellness, with guest speakers attending occasionally.

Our mission as “UNE Underground” is to provide a peer-to-peer platform that connects the UNE community through the sharing of information, discussion of current events, and the raising of awareness about campus and local resources. UNE's journal of creative expression for students, faculty, and staff from both campuses. The intention of the journal is to annually publish original drawings, paintings, black and white photography, prose, and verse created by current and former members of the University community.

Volunteer EMS non-transport response to the UNE community, consisting of EMTs license nationally in the state of Maine. EMTs are on call every night from 7p-7a. Students can also attend biweekly trainings.

This club's main purpose is to educate students on ROTC and what a career in the military could look like. Many students do not know that ROTC is available to them, or the benefits of choosing a career in the military. This club will also serve as an information outlet for students with military-affiliated family or friends, or any interest in the military.
