Brown Space Engineering (BSE) promotes space accessibility by designing and manufacturing open-source, low-cost spacecraft. BSE Membership is open to all students, regardless of technical experience and focusses on increasing access to space science and engineering for students without prior exposure, including those from underrepresented STEM groups. It provides undergraduates hands-on project experience that democratises space access. BSE performs outreach by educating and publishing its design processes and documentation, fostering student and community engagement with space. We hope to provide all our members with a caring, passionate, mission-driven and goal-oriented peer group.
