Philosophy Club

During the weekly meetings, members will discuss a variety of subtopics within the study of philosophy including, but not limited to: political theory, metaphysics, logic, epistemology, religion, and philosophy of the mind. These topics may be explored in a traditional manner, such as thought-experiments and analysis of famous writings, or in more casual ways by appealing to pop culture references, facilitating activities, etc. The goal of Philosophy Club is to design these discussions in a way that properly engages with philosophical elements, but that does not require students to necessarily have a preconceived understanding of philosophy itself. Our aim is to introduce students, or further expose them, to philosophical questions and considerations in a more informal environment than that of a classroom; discussions will be enlightening, but also light-hearted and fun!
