SAE Aero is an engineering club that designs, builds, and tests model aircraft over the course of the year before competing against other schools from around the country and the world at competition in spring term.Students do extensive research into aircraft design before putting that knowledge into practice with the construction and testing of our model planes. Our work includes computer-aided design, foam and balsa construction, carbon fiber composite molding, electronics testing, sensor calibration, and working on a complex project as a team. In addition, we organize outreach and networking with local and national companies. All majors are welcome, and no prior experience is needed! We structure our team to teach new members everything that they would need to know to contribute. Stop by and say hello!
