Sigma Tau Delta

Apart from being an International English Honors Society, Samford's Sigma Tau Delta chapter's primary goal is to foster a sense of community and involvement within the English Department. Whether it is gathering together for book sales, board game nights, Tea Time, or the spring conference, we encourage all English Majors--including those not yet eligible for membership--to participate in Sigma Tau Delta events and meetings. Just as the act of critical interpretation does not occur within a vacuum, no English education is complete without an active and engaged department community.For anyone not directly involved in Samford's English department, we aspire to be a place to make friendships, enhance academic experiences, and engage the larger Samford community through campus-wide events, partnerships with other organizations, and a mutual appreciation for literature.
