Mission StatementThe mission of the Pre-Physician Assistant Society is to promote the knowledge of the profession and empower students on their journey to becoming physician assistants that are passionate, empathetic, and confident through Christ-centered relationships and practical opportunities.What is a PA?Physician Assistants (PAs) are medical professionals who diagnose illness, develop and manage treatment plans, prescribe medications, and often serve as a patient's principal healthcare provider. With thousands of hours of medical training, PAs are versatile and collaborative. Ephesians 2:10MeetingsTuesday/Thursdays @ 3PMTuesday/Thursdays @ 10AM (During Convocation)We typically hold biweekly meetings. Meetings will be held at one of the four times listed above (usually a variety throughout the semester). The meeting schedule will be given at the beginning of the semester! We provide a variety of meetings with guest speakers such as professional PAs, current PA students, and Samford professors to discuss the profession and their experiences.
