Housing and Residence Life Mission Statement:The Department of Residence Life exists to serve the Samford Community by providing high-quality and safe residential facilities while fostering the resident's educational, personal, social, and spiritual development within a Christian envirionment.Goals of Residence Life:1. Provide an environment conducive to academic success.2. Assist students in becoming independent individuals as the transition from high school to college to adult life. 3. Educate students about a sense of civic responsibility including how to live and engage in a community (neighborhood) and respect and honor the rights of neighbors. This page would serve as an opportunity for our Residence Life staff to post events they are hosting and keep a record of students we serve through our residential hall, building, area, and campus-wide events both in-house and in partnership with other campus departments/organizations. About West Village:West Village includes Building 100, Thorne, Building 300, and Student Apartments as the only all-upperclassmen residential community. We often hold area events that draw in students from all parts of campus; check our page for upcoming events open to all of campus!
