Grace Dance Ministry
From the Samford directory, Sep 7, 2026
Samford Grace Dance Ministry is a group of women seeking to learn more about God, dance, and each other.Grace Dance allows Samford students to continue to dance or learn to dance in a positive and stress-free environment. In the fall, we hold weekly classes on Monday nights from 7–8:30pm in different styles, taught by one of our members. If you come to three classes, you are officially a “member” of the company. These classes are open to any and all females on campus. At the end of the fall, we hold auditions for our spring show. The auditions are to gauge availability and interest and see everyone in-person dancing before we make the show list---there are no cuts. Our spring show has a Biblical theme and each dance corresponds to it. We offer dances in contemporary, modern, tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, and more. The groups meet once a week to practice and the performance takes place in the Wright Center in April.
