DREAM (Disability Rights, Education, Activism, and Mentoring)
From the Samford directory, Sep 7, 2026
DREAM is Samford's only disability advocacy organization. Our mission is twofold. One, we advocate for greater accessibility on our campus so that all students, regardless of circumstance, can experience true, unfettered belonging. And second, we strive to build community on our campus between those with and without disabilities so that all of us can learn the power of empathy and love for our fellow brothers and sisters. Additionally, DREAM was the 2020 Best New Student Organization Award Winner and won the first-ever Student Organization of Honor Award in 2019. We are proud of our accomplishments, but we are prouder of our members and the passion they have for disability rights. If you are interested in advocating on behalf of and alongside those with disabilities, we ask that you join us. We would love to have you in this fight!
