American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) Chapter at Samford University

"AIGA brings design to the world, and the world to designers. As the nation's largest professional membership organization for design—with more than 70 chapters and more than 15,000 members—AIGA advances design as a professional craft, strategic advantage, and vital cultural force." A select group of graphic design students here at Samford have been building a new campus chapter from the ground up since spring semester. We aim first and foremost to gather students in the Samford graphic design program across all cohorts and technical backgrounds. We will provide events on and off campus to foster design skills and build a stronger sense of community. We also aim to integrate students into the local professional design community, providing opportunities to network and build connections with designers in the city of Birmingham.
