About SAACA student-athlete advisory committee (SAAC) is a committee made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight on the student-athlete experience. The SAAC also offers input on the rules, regulations and policies that affect student-athletes’ lives on NCAA member institution campuses.MissionThe mission of Missouri Western State University’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is to enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting student-athlete welfare, and fostering a positive student-athlete image consistent with the missions of the university and the Athletic Department.SAAC and The CommunityDivision II athletics programs actively engage with their communities, which not only helps drive attendance at athletics contests but also fosters relationships between student-athletes and community members and develops more of a shared civic experience.MWSU’s SAAC provides opportunities for all Griffon student-athletes to engage in events to create unity within the athletics department, as well as community engagement activities that enhance the St. Joseph community and beyondThese opportunities include:Griffs Giving GiftsTrick or Treat with the GriffsClothing Drive
