Sigma Alpha Iota is an international women’s music fraternity which promotes interaction among those who share an interest in music. Members of SAI are active in all areas of campus music and campus life, working closely with faculty, administration, campus and community groups, music professionals and patrons. In addition to personal encouragement and support, members may receive scholarships, loans, and awards in many areas at all levels of music-related study. Sigma Alpha Iota has long been recognized as a leader in the field of music and provides a lifetime of fraternity contact. This sisterhood has provided many of our members with amazing friendships and opportunities for growth at Missouri Western.sai-national.orgRequirements:maintain a minimum 2.5 GPAmust have completed one semester at MWSUmust have one music course completed through MWSUHow do I join?We will have several recruitment events in the fall semester where we will go over everything and give you the opportunity to ask questions. Then, we will have an interview night followed by an invitation from the fraternity. In the spring, you may pledge and go through four classes to learn some information about our fraternity’s history and current practices at the local and national levels. A membership test will occur the week following your last meeting, and then you will be initiated.
