MavFAM: Foster Alumni Community is a student-led organization dedicated to supporting CMU students with foster care, kinship care, or adoption experience. Our purpose is to build a strong, connected, and uplifting community where lived experience is understood, respected, and celebrated. Grounded in our mission to empower students through support, connection, and growth, MavFAM provides a space for Mavericks to find belonging, access resources, build meaningful relationships, and thrive academically and personally. Whether you’re seeking community, mentorship, advocacy, or simply a place where your story is valued, MavFAM is here to walk with you through your college journey.
