Phi Alpha Theta (F?T) is an American honor society for undergraduate and graduate students and professors of history. We are a professional society whose mission is to promote the study of history through the encouragement of research, good teaching, publication and the exchange of learning and ideas among historians. We seek to bring students and teachers together for intellectual and social exchanges, which promote and assist historical research and publication by our members in a variety of ways.Every spring we accept applications for new members and hold an initiation ceremony to which friends and family are welcome.New Member Eligibility Requirements:Undergraduate Requirements12+ hours history credits (including transfer or AP credits)?3.0+ GPA overall at ATU3.1+ GPA in history coursesGraduate Requirements12+ hours history credits at the graduate level3.5+ overall GPA30% of coursework towards MA in History completed The ATU chapter of Phi Alpha Theta was established in 1995.All majors welcome!
