Aspiring Educators

Aspiring Educators is an informational and professional-development club that is part of WEAC, the Wisconsin Education Association Council. Our purpose is to connect students with professionals from the field of education as well as statewide and nationwide organizations of education professionals so that they can ask questions related to the field, learn about the challenges currently present in education, and generally prepare themselves for the eventual transition from student to educator. Despite this mission statement, anyone who'd like to learn about careers in education is welcome to attend our meetings! It's not necessary that members be Education majors, minors, or even enrolled in Education courses.(Disclaimer:: All students are welcome to join our organization and participate in our meetings, but official union membership requires paying dues through the National Education Association.)
