Process development plays a critical role in translating laboratory discoveries into scalable, robust manufacturing processes across the pharmaceutical, chemical, and biotechnology industries. Scaling novel processes from bench scale to production often presents challenges related to mixing, mass transfer, particle control, process robustness, and cost efficiency. This seminar will discuss the application of process characterization, design of experiments (DOE), and scale-up principles to address these challenges. The presentation will highlight the skills, technical knowledge, and interdisciplinary collaboration required for successful process development while highlighting the presenter’s role at Evonik.
