The COERE is excited to invite you to GEARs – Gathering to Enrich and Advance Research. GEARs is a monthly series that brings together researchers, faculty, and staff to share ideas, explore new approaches, and spark collaborations. Each session features a guest speaker on a topic designed to inform and inspire your work. This month, discover how community conditions and individual social risk screenings work together to inform healthcare, research, and population health efforts. This session will explore the connection between area-level social determinants of health and patient-reported social risks, highlighting how both perspectives can help identify needs, reduce disparities, and support more targeted interventions.
