Facilitators: Megan Reiley, Peerceptiv Partner Success Manager Nicki Collins, Peerceptiv Instructional Support Dr. Armanto Sutedjo, Center for Teaching Excellence Description: In a world where GenAI tools can influence how students complete assignments, instructors seek additional ways to evaluate student learning beyond the final submission. This workshop explores Peerceptiv's peer assessment ecosystem with a focus on creating opportunities for students to explain, discuss, and defend their work. Participants will examine how structured peer feedback and a live presentation can promote accountability, meaningful engagement, and authentic demonstrations of learning while supporting a variety of instructional approaches to GenAI. Learning Outcomes: Participants will be able to… 1) Explain why peer assessment remains a valuable strategy for promoting feedback, critical thinking, and demonstrated learning even with GenAI available. 2) Evaluate how Peerceptiv features, such as peer review, Integrity Check, and Live Presentations can be used to increase transparency of student work, encourage accountability, and provide additional evidence of student learning. 3) Design a Peerceptiv assessment strategy that integrates peer feedback, Integrity Check, and Live Presentations to promote authentic participation, meaningful evaluation, and demonstrated learning.
