Centering Disability Experiences

This event is the first in a series of collaborations between the Pack disAbility Advocacy Club and the Women's Center that will focus on consent, communication, healthy relationships and interpersonal violence within the disability community. This event is particularly important due to the red zone, the time between the beginning of the academic year and Thanksgiving, when over 50% of all the sexual assaults that happen on university campuses occur. Our goal is to create an inclusive, accessible space that centers disability experiences while exploring how consent, autonomy and healthy relationships show up across different identities and communication styles. You'll hear from a panel of students and campus professionals, and you can ask questions during a Q&A portion. If you have questions, add them to our questions form. Please note that this event will include discussions around sexual violence. A counselor will be available for anyone who needs to talk.
