Whether you have always wanted to try blogging, have a research story bursting to be told, or simply want to sharpen your writing skills for a broader audience, this program is for you. With these two hands-on workshops, and one-on-one support from WCC writing instructors, you will go from idea to a polished, published blog post. Workshop 1 “Finding Your Story” (Sep 15) Discover what to write about, who your audience is, and how to shape your ideas into a compelling blog post. Leave with a clear concept and a plan. Workshop 2: “Polish & Publish” (Sep 22) Learn how to revise your draft and how to put the finishing touches on your post. This program is open for the entire MIT community who want to find their voice, share their story, and write for the world beyond the lab. Grad students can submit drafts for the OGE Grad Blog, featuring views on grad life at MIT and receive $150 if their post is accepted for publication. We want to hear about your hobbies, routines, quirky discoveries, favorite spots in Cambridge, research insights, productivity hacks, work-life balance…anything that matters to you!
