Hope Alumni Mahjong Event

Ready to try something new or rediscover a game you already love? Join us for a fun and relaxed Hope Alumni Mahjong Learning & Playing Night! 🀄✨ Whether you’ve never touched a mahjong tile or you’re already a seasoned player, you’re invited. We’ll start with a quick, beginner-friendly introduction led by alumnus Clay DeKam '26 then jump into some friendly games. No experience (or perfect strategy!) required. All ages welcome. Mahjong is a rummy-like tile game that combines skill and strategy with luck and quick thinking. Originating in 19th century China, it has recently become one of America's fastest growing games in popularity. In this introductory session, we'll learn the traditional style of play and master the tiles in a fun and relaxed environment! Register by Monday, September, 14 The cost of this event is $10.
