America Listens: Conversations That Move Us Forward

In partnership with the GW Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration and Boise State University, America Listens is bringing a growing national conversation to a new audience. On September 16, speakers from across the country, with different occupations and from different backgrounds, will respond to the prompt: "What do you value and why? How do you put that value into practice in your life, for example in your political, economic, educational, or social positions?" While these speakers may not represent every group in America, they represent a diversity of perspectives. We look forward to hosting more events like this in the future and before many different audiences to widen our scope and hear from even more and different voices. Born out of Idaho Listens, a Boise State speaking series program launched in 2022, America Listens creates space in a partisan era for conversations about values and a focus on listening as a model for understanding and humanizing our national discourse.
