POLI 395 Description: This course has two goals: First to introduce students to the current theoretical debates in the field of international organizations and to assess the value and limitations of these theories; second, to understand the working of important world organizations, including (but not limited to) the UN, the WTO, and IMF. The course assumes some basic knowledge of IR theory and previous debates about the origin and impact of international organizations on world politics.
