MECH 202 Description: Stress analysis is integral to much of mechanical engineering, whether in industrial design or academic research. This course is divided into two parts. First, the concepts of stress analysis are introduced for two-dimensional, then three-dimensional bodies. The second part of this course builds upon stress analysis by going into failure – both dynamic and static theories. A series of month long design projects will apply the tools learned in this course to specific engineering problems→MECH 315→unlocks 14 courses
