GERM 302 Description: This course will explore current and recent events in society, culture, and politics in German speaking countries. The class will discuss and analyze newspaper and magazine articles, TV news, modern expository prose, and it will make extensive use of online materials. Students will acquire specialized vocabulary and linguistic structures as well as systematic training in targeted speaking and writing skills. Assignments allow students to explore areas of individual interest and encourage deeper exploration in individual research projects. Taught in German. D1 effective Fall 2024. Repeatable for Credit→GERM 305→unlocks 0 courses
