COMP 310 or COMP 314 or ELEC 322 Description: This elective course covers a wide variety of topics in computer security, including hands-on experience with breaking software and engineering software to be harder to break. For example, students will perform buffer overflow attacks and exploit web application vulnerabilities, while also learning how to defend against them. Grades will be based on a series of in-class projects. Graduate/Undergraduate Equivalency: COMP 427 , COMP 541 . Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for COMP 327 if student has credit for COMP 427 / COMP 541→COMP 327→unlocks 2 courses
