Students will learn about connections between planetary interiors (core, mantle, crust) and exteriors (atmosphere, hydrosphere), and what shapes the surfaces of planets over time. There will be a focus on the inner Solar System (Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars), with discussion of the outer Solar System (gas giants, Kuiper belt, etc.) to supplement.
