Two 300-level Korean language courses such as LK 311, 312, 313, 319, 322, or consent of the instructor. Proficiency in contemporary Korean. Proficiency in Classical Chinese is welcome but optional. - Through training in translating from Korean into English, the course enhances knowledge of Korean language and culture and improves English writing as well as deepening the understanding of what is involved in translating one language into another.
