Public Opening: ARTCUT: Catholic Universities Art Triennale 2026

Public Opening for the Boston College exhibition, Accompaniment, part of ARTCUT: Catholic Universities Art Triennale 2026 — Exercises in Empathy. The Catholic Universities Art Triennial is an international project bringing together more than 100 artists, 15 curators and 7 universities commissioned by the Dicastery for Culture and Education and curated by Nuno Crespo. Conceived as a collective project dedicated to artistic creation, scientific research, and dialogue, the Triennial explores the role of art in addressing the most pressing issues of our time through exhibitions, commissions, publications and public programmes. Empathy and human relationships inspired this first edition of the Triennial which, as Cardinal José Tolentino de Mendonça states in his introductory speech, can legitimately present itself as a school of empathy, because it deepens transversally that same perceptive and affective capacity which we are called to exercise in the concrete relationships of academic and social life. The very international architecture of the project is already, in itself, an exercise in institutional empathy, an invitation to inhabit a shared listening to goodness, truth, and beauty.
